While it starts with Jay, all of the staff are friendly and the kind you like to have working around your place. This is the kind of company the sweeps the paths when they're done, makes sure any bricks that got loosened in construction are put back, and walk around your plants as best as possible while building you a great fence. 3 other companies gave me a "more or less" commitment to a 4 foot depth of posts - Jay said absolutely and that's what they did. The final product looks great and they were a pleasure to deal with.

This project has been in the making for years. It wasn't until we met with Jay that we started to see what the final product could actually be. Jay was open and honest with us about what would work and what wouldn't. When the project began, the crew was respectful of our property and it didn't feel like a typical construction site. The end result was beyond what we ever expected! I would 100% recommend Green Side Up Contracting.

We contacted Green Side Up Contracting to install our backyard and front yard fence. In a year where lumber seemed difficult to obtain, we were very happy that Green Side Up Contracting could still deliver and install our fence this year! The invoice was very detailed (which I appreciate) and Jay answered any and all questions very quickly. From our first meeting with Jay, we knew we found a great company to complete our fence project.
Daniel and crew were friendly, professional and they did an amazing job! We are beyond thrilled with the final product and cannot wait to enjoy our backyard even more next summer! We would not hesitate to recommend Green Side Up Contracting to our family and friends! Thank you again!!!

Jay is a good guy, very helpful and a man of his word. The guys came out to Mississauga on short notice, took the old fence down and built the new one that looks great. They will have to come back and finish as we are getting a pool but these guys will work with your needs within reason. Great group, I will get more projects completed by them.
** Update - the team came back and completed the fence as they said they would. At my request, they also came back on a Saturday to finish the job. They went above and beyond with a frustrated neighbor (no fault of theirs) and we kept the peace. I have had city inspectors come by and they have even stated what a quality job the fence company did.

Backyard Deck

We wanted to get a deck done just like everyone else this summer and found Jay and team from Greenside Up on Homestars. Price is competitive with other companies, but I found that GSU’s estimates were the most detailed and clear.

From the first call, Jay was friendly, honest and transparent around the process, lead time and cost. He guided us through the process and kept us updated on timing and project status.

The crew led by Chase did a spectacular job and was very easy to work with. Quality workmanship and appreciated the fact they always made time to answer questions. Also appreciated that they tidied up at the end of the day. The little things that make a difference with great service! We are really happy with the end results of the deck!

New house landscaping, patio and pergola

We just moved in to a new house and wanted a front and back patio as well as a sidewalk and hot tub area. We had Green Side Up as well as three other contractors quote on the project. Jay’s quote was competitive and he seemed to understand our desire for a combination of style and function. Jay brought in Aislyn to do a full design of the project. The design was invaluable as it gave all the people involved a clear and uniform view of the overall project. Chase and his crew built a custom pergola that met all our requirements. Rob and his team poured concrete slabs for the hot tub and storage shed and installed a front and back paver patio with a connecting walkway as well as landscaping with plants and design elements recommended by Aislyn. Jay coordinated the whole project and kept us well informed and arranged for stone veneer on the front porch and stairs as well as aluminum railings and gate to complete the project. Everyone on the project was professional and worked hard to meet our needs. We enjoyed working with them. We are very happy with the result and recommend Jay and the whole Green Side Up team for any landscaping project.
