I contracted National Star to do my roof replacement after finding them on homestars.com and was quite pleased to see this website works and they (Sokol and family) live up to their reputation. The roof replacement was completed in two days and the quality of work was impeccable. I was amazed at the attention to detail and how much of an upgrade my roof actually needed as they educated me on what was done to protect my home for the future. Sokol came in the lowest of three quotes I received for my roof replacement and he stayed true to that quote. Very impressive. Even my neigbors were impressed when they saw the crew tidying up on their property gathering nails from a roofing job that they had done months earlier with a different company. Aleks and Sokol's company replaced the roof on my neighbor's house last year, and after last year's August hailstorm, it was our turn to need a roof replaced. I call it Aleks and Sokol's company because this truly is a family company in the very best sense of the word. There are many choices in the phone book when it comes time to have this kind of work done, but if you value true artisanship as much as professional work above and beyond the building code, you must hire these guys. They completed our entire roof and detached garage in a single day. I was invited onto the roof to have the steps explained to me, so that I understood everything that was being done. Aleks frequently mentions that he treats each job as though he was doing his own roof, and it is true. There is an obvious sense of close camaraderie among the crew, whether moving at an incredible pace on the roof, or in the short, well-deserved breaks they take together in the shade. They maintain a "clean up as you go" ethic, with the result being that after the job was done, the entire area around the house and garage were left spotless - there is no evidence that they were even here, except for a very attractive new roof. I would have no hesitation in making the highest possible recommendation for this company - and indeed, plan to advise my neighbors. Pricing was more than reasonable - very competitive. What should convince anyone is the extra touches they provide, like color-coordinated painting of the chimney tops and electrical conduit, high-quality silicone, and meticulous attention to details that you can't even see once the job is done. In this case, you can completely trust their advertising on this page. I wish them the very best of success - and they shall have it, as their work speaks very strongly for them. We recently hired National Star to replace our hail damaged shingle roof and we are very satisfied with the entire experience. We chose National Star over other contractors because when Sokol came over to do estimate, he was very professional and courteous; he also helped us with the insurance claim, and the price was very competitive. The crew were polite, professional, and they finished the work in just over a day. They also cleaned up thoroughly after the work was done. I would recommend National Star to anybody without hesitation.

I had my roof done on Aug. 6, 2013 by National Star. I was so impressed by their Professionalism and work ethics. They care about their customer’s roof more than their customer’s do. As I am a single mom, it is very important to make sure that I am not taken advantage of and with this company I did not worry at all. They took care of my roof as if it was their own. I am so grateful for National Star and the people they employ( family members). They exceeded my expectations. It is a BBB A+ rating but I would give them AAA++??!! Their work was exceptionally done and highly professional. Not only did they go the extra mile by repainting my old chimney to match the roof but also installed two vents on my garage for better ventilation . My house looks more clean cut, sharp yet elegant. Needless to say, when they were done they left my house with impressive work and great satisfaction for me and probably for themselves too. Unfortunately, it is too bad I cannot have them do my roof again in the future because the quality of the roof will possibly outlast me.

We were referred by a colleague and could not have asked for a better product or a more professional company. We weren't required to pay until the job was complete to our satisfaction and everyone in this family run business was extremely courteous. Our roof was completed in a very timely fashion and the clean up was immaculate. They even completed our shed roofing for free! Highly, highly recommend.

My neighbour and I (I live in a duplex) decided to use National Star for our roof replacement based on the recommendation of someone who recently used them. Turns out that this was a great choice. They completed the job in the time they said they would. They left no mess. In fact I could hardly tell that they were there. They did not require any payment until the job was done. They even cleaned the eaves troughs after they were done. Overall my experience with National Star was positive and I would recommend them.

National Star Roofing is a top notch company. I was impressed with every aspect of my dealings with the company. They were professional, on schedule, on budget and took extra care with their work. Not a single nail was found after they left!!

Sokol, the Sales Manager was awesome throughout the project. He provided a detailed quote, explanation of process and materials used. I had a small leak in roof but and my scheduled booking was not for a few weeks. Sokol personally came over on the weekend did a temporally fix to stop the leak until my scheduled roof replacement was done.

It was a pleasure doing business with Sokol and his team at National Star. Sokol was extremely thorough in his quote so that there would be no surprises and there were no surprises. He explained his product options, showed us samples, encouraged us to research different products and sent us out to look at some of the work he and his team had done. His team were friendly and very respectful of our property. The work was done quickly, even with having to remove two different roofing materials. The company takes pride in a job well done and added finishing touches such as painting our chimney stack so it would look nice at no extra cost. As I said earlier, there were no surprises. The job started and ended on time. I wouldn't hesistate to recommend them to anyone. Their prices are competitive and their service is impeccable. I am a very happy customer.
