Crack Or Jack Concrete Repair

In 2007, we searched Shell Busey’s website in search of someone to re-finish and re-seal our extensive patio area which consists of stamped concrete and exposed aggregate. Besides needing re-sealing, we also had several large cracks that needed filling. It was then that we found Brad; the most wonderful, the most competent, the most charming, and most importantly, the most reliable person we have had the pleasure of dealing with since moving to Langley.

Brad Skilling approached our project with professionalism from the very beginning giving us a detailed quote, firm start date, (depending on the weather, of course), and a complete description of what he would have to do and why. Because our stamped concrete wraps around our pool and because the pool wraps around the house in a circular fashion, Brad even had to enter the unheated pool to complete the job! The project was completed on time, even though he had to work around varying weather conditions. He even checked back several times during the summer to make sure that everything was to our satisfaction. In addition, he had noticed that the water was not draining well in one area and came back and etched a small drain into the concrete to allow the water to run off more effectively without any extra charge.

Brad is extremely neat, works efficiently and is probably the most pleasant person we have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. If we have a question, he not only answers us by phone, but also drops by, in person, later on to make sure we are happy. We could just not ask for more. And, the cracks that he fixed five years ago are still holding up well.

This month, we had Brad back for the second time since the initial coating was applied, and once again, we are extremely satisfied with the work he did and our patio and driveway look stunning. Over the time that we have known Brad, he has always been very willing to share tips on how to better maintain our patio and driveway. In addition, he has spent a great deal of time giving us very welcome advice regarding new products on the market so we are better able to maintain our property—we have a lot of concrete!

We were looking for a repair to the concrete slab of our entrance area that had several large cracks in it. It gives me great pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Brad Skilling. Two winters ago we noticed the cracks in our driveway were getting worse. With the onset of summer, the buildup of sand coming up from the cracks indicating the ants were back. We knew we had to do something as over time the water getting in under the concrete would just make it worse. Within days, Brad came to our home to assess our 3 car driveway and give us a quote. This is to acknowledge the "first class" job that was done by Brad Skilling on our aggregate concrete entranceway patio. We had some very visible cracks in the aggregate and they are now virtually invisible.
