Everything went so smoothly with our move from Sudbury to Toronto, and most of this is due to Augusta Movers. Dinko was really helpful in booking our move, and was super patient with all of my questions. On the day of, our movers were on time, so kind, and efficient. I would book them again and again.

Augusta movers come on time. They were very professional. The staff was very clean. No hidden costs. we were very stressed before the move but when the team arrived we were worry free. We hired Augusta to pack most of our home as well as move us. They were timely, professional and friendly. The move was on time and budget. Augusta Movers Toronto did an outstanding job from start to finish on Mon June 15, 2020. The truck arrived at the house 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time. The job was unique as furniture had to be removed from the house and staged in the garage and driveway for a donation pick up. Furniture was also being moved to Brampton, Orangeville and Mono. Staging the furniture and packing the moving pieces was done quickly and with care. When the truck left for it's three stops it was done with care and professionalism. The staff were awesome and the equipment they used was first rate. I would recommend Augusta Movers Toronto for your moving needs.

We used Augusta movers when we move back to Vancouver BC from Toronto. We used their full service of getting them to pack up our house, load, deliver, and unload in Vancouver. They were very professional and we're very careful with are items. The response time was very quick for whenever we had questions about the move and for such a big move it went seamlessly. I've had nightmare moves in the past. I would highly recommend them for your next move!

Move was seamless. Movers were professional, courteous and helpful. They arrived on time, pieces were packed with safety in mind. There was no breakage and everowad moved into the designated areas.

This is the second time we've used Augusta for a move. The fact that we are using them again is a testament to the quality of their service, and the competitiveness of their pricing. The movers at Augusta genuinely take care of your possessions, and are respectful of the properties.

The red protective carpeting, and complementary use of wardrobe boxes and mattress bags are great value adds. There's never any surprise fees or add-ons, and the moving truck even beat us to our new home! Dinko has always been responsive, and very transparent in all of his communications.

Working with Augusta Movers was a great experience for us. The 3 man team was very, very efficient, careful, and courteous on what turned out to be a very humid day and hot day in May. Their estimate of time to move was bang on from start to finish which was important for some hard deadlines we had to maintain with the closing of our house and Condo elevator bookings. They made the moving experience very smooth and one thing less to worry about on that day.

I'm a Toronto-based dad with 2 daughters who hired Augusta Movers (3-person team) last May 31, 2020.

Pros: They are on-time and straightforward.

Cons: There was a damage on the floor that was pointed out after the move (see attached photo). The owner investigated and claimed no responsibility and offered an explanation that I found implausible.

After a discussion, I said I will just post my personal account and review on Homestars. I was threatened with legal action if I posted something that harmed their reputation. (Interpret this any way you like.)

My stressful experience with Augusta Movers shaped my opinion that there are better alternatives out there that are more customer-friendly and easier to deal with.

UPDATE:

After reading the company's response, it is really disheartening that they have responded that way. There are factual errors, such as:

- The "bad credit card account" was just a typo which was corrected immediately.

- I owned up to my mistake of the booking time by actually paying them and not contesting the hours of work.

- The place was cleaned to the best to my ability, as a dad with 2 young kids. To characterize our previous home as "unsanitary" is borderline slander because aside from the usual house dirt and dust, there was nothing that alarmed the movers when they performed the move.

- On a related note, their team did not have the proper personal protective equipment (such as masks and gloves) during their job.

- I had them move on a Sunday, got a quote from a handyman on Monday, and Dinko (the business owner) and I met on a Tuesday. I think the timeline is pretty reasonable and was spurred by the damage.

- I actually called Dinko on the day of the move, but he did not respond. When asked why, he said "he's a busy man." It took me a day to get in touch with him to set up an inspection of the damage. His delay gave me time to actually book a quote from a service provider.

More importantly: There's a reason I provided my full name to the review because I stand by my reputation and I was seeking resolution for a damage, which is well within customer rights and protection. To paint me as someone who is "simply after the money" is inaccurate and anti-customer.

I hope the company's response will give potential customers what kind of company you could be dealing with.

Dinko and his team were very efficient, professional and careful with all our belongings. They worked really hard and made our move outside the City quite easy. Very helpful.
Final invoice was very close to quote, so no hidden fees.
Would highly recommend and use the again
