Metro Plumbing & Drains

I live in West of Toronto area. I am one of “Toronto Water” unfortunate customer who experienced frozen pipes during this frigid winter of February 2015 – the coldest one (according to the City records) since 1972. After numerous phone calls to 311 (City hot-line) I was advised to find a Plumber to diagnose my “No-Water” problem. I contacted some Plumbing companies for a quote to unfreeze my frozen water pipes. However, I was not happy with their responses. I found “Metro Plumbing & Drains” on the Internet and read very positive feedback from their previous customers. I phoned “Metro Plumbing & Drains” and received immediate attendance. One hour later Vadym arrived at my door and asked for the Water Meter location. Because we are new residents in the place, we did not know where it was at the time (we were looking for it without success for two days!). It took few minutes for Vadym to locate the Meter. I was so happy (laughing, shouting, jumping and dancing in disbelieve) to see it. Vadym listened carefully to my story about not having water in the house, analysed the problem immediately, and explained in a simple and understandable ways what the issue was and how to solve it. The pipes were frozen from outside of my house and I had to call Toronto Water to fix the problem. Eventually, after almost 3 weeks without water, the job was done. This experience made me believe that Metro staff is highly professional, knowledgeable, experienced, courteous and care greatly about its customers’ needs. Definitely, if the needs arise in the future, I will call them again. Yes, I will happily recommend this business to anyone without hesitation, Thank you very much Vadym and your team for your help and fast service. I trust you and, from now on, “Metro Plumbing & Drains” is my Plumber!

The tech from Metro came on time to do a big list of jobs that I needed done. He changed my bathroom sink, and replaced three faucets. He was very respectful and timely. Only had the water turned off for about an hour. And he left everything nice and clean when he was done. I could not have asked for better service.

In response to our urgent request we received prompt, courteous,efficient,clean service. Vadym quickly solved a most troubling leak from a dishwasher at a price we were pleased to pay. The professional service was a real help,quite beyond our expectations.

Called Metro late night and promised to have someone here between 8 - 9am the following morning. Andrei V showed up at 8:20am. Very professional, courteous, knowledgeable, communicated well. Great service and reasonably priced. Will use them again any time it's required.

Had a problem with kitchen sink, smell and some kind of dirt, which prevented the water to go down properly. As well as my bathroom sink, which had problem with draining. A very nice gentlemen came over, cleaned and fixed everything. Excellent work. Defiantly recommend to use their services.

Called at 9:30 AM and was told Licensed Plumber would arrive between 11-1 on same day. 11:10 AM gentleman by the name of Andrei arrived and assessed my problem. Problem was toilet was continuously running and shut off valve on floor would not turn off. Prices quoted to me on spot and work was done right away. Prices were fair and quality of work was amazing. Andrei took his time to do all work and answer any questions that I asked. Metro should be proud to have an individual like Andrei working for them. Courteous , Professional and a true Ambassador. Thank you Andrei for fixing our problem and i would not hesitate to recommend Metro Plumbing and Drains.

I recently had a very great experience with Metro, I left on a vacation and during some heavy rain my basement started to flood. My neighbor called them as he had used them before, and by the time I came home everything was taken care of and clean. The service team managed to keep me informed about the situation via email, and always notified me about anything they have done to fix the problem. I really appreciated the level of professionalism and care that their team put into keeping me happy, and I will totally come back to them.

Called Metro and my Neighbors recommendation, got an appointment for a free estimate. Tech was a bit early which was great for me, he used a drain camera and said that it was simply clogged and that he could snake it on the spot. I agreed and the job has been done perfectly. Great service and great plumbers Metro!

I found Vadim on Kijiji and liked there ad, somehow it stood out from the rest and that was enough for me to give them a call. The next day Vadim a plumber from Metro came to my house and went ahead with doing diagnostics to figure out what was wrong with multiple issues I had. I had issues with kitchen sink leaking and the downstairs toilet not properly flushing. I also would get very bad sewer like stench after the washing machine finished it cycle. After Vadim did the diagnostics and found the problem he explained them to be and showed them to me, he then explained the price to me. The price was reasonable $1100 for everything. He told me the toilet issue was caused by a mechanical issue with the flushing mechanism and that it can be easily fixed by replacing the faulty part. The laundry stench from washing machine was caused by a broken drain pipe which he fixed, he also fixed some other minor issues with my laundry faucet at no extra charge which I appreciated. For my kitchen he replaced the two basket strainers. He then also fixed my lavatory faucet which was loose a bit at no charge again. And recommended that I get a vent under sink where my drain was not properly fixed, but I did not have the money for the vent so I opted to get it done some other time, when I get the money. Overall very reasonable price for all the work + at no charge fix ups, I was impressed by the plumbers knowledge and the fact he was explaining and showing things which I found neat and interesting to know.

I am renovating a bathroom, but don't like to do soldering work, so called Metro Plumbing. They came within 2 hours and did a great job at a reasonable price.
