canada furnace

Home advisor Gary, was very professional, friendly and punctual. He was thorough in explaining the different models, pricing and rebates so we were able to make proper choice. The installers, Sanjay and Vincent were prompt and knowledgeable with their skills. They are friendly and they made sure everything is clean and in order. Highly recommended. Boiler serviced

Great service today from the man who was very professional and informative. I would definitely use them again. He was knowledgeable and thorough and didn't try to pressure me on anything. Just recommend one part that may need some attention in the future.

New Furnace

Reliance installed a new high efficiency furnace for us, replacing the original 27-year old furnace for the house. The installation went very well, with both techs from Reliance being professional, friendly, and very mindful not to damage anything in the home. Being someone who is very particular about good service, I was very appreciative of this and impressed. Sanjay was the lead tech with a lot of experience (I think he said 25 years) and strong work ethic, which proved invaluable when it was discovered that the fan motor in the new Carrier furnace was dead on arrival (something of rare occurrence, I'm told). Given that it was already the end of the business day at that point, both techs jumped through hoops to find a replacement part from one of the other techs living in Coquitlam, and stayed late to install it. That hiccup took the estimated installation time up from 8 hours to just over 10 hours, but they completed everything wonderfully without rushing me through the operational instructions at the end or their cleanup. They also gave a 10 year installation warranty on parts and labour for the furnace, which is one of the reasons we chose Reliance (it's typically 1-2 years for other installation companies; note this is not the same as the Carrier warranty on the unit itself that doesn't include labour). When I had a billing question on the pre-authorized payment, I was initially put in touch with a call center in the Philippines, which really didn't help me. But calling the head office number, I was eventually put in touch with the local manager in Coquitlam, Jeff, who resolved the issue and gave stellar service. I can highly recommend Reliance in Coquitlam for an excellent furnace installation experience.

Very unprofessional behaviour

I contracted Canada Furnace to replace my boiler last year and ended up with one of the worst experiences possible. First, I was sold the boiler as a rental without giving me any copy of terms and conditions. When I was finally given a copy I realised it was a bad idea, so I sent written request to change to purchase. I got written conformation back form CF's agent about change to purchase agreement .
This was the start, the installation came and went no one turned up for installation. It was only after I called, I was informed they will be coming the next day.
Installation took two days more than informed causing me to change my work schedule on daily basis.
Part of installation package was not delivered as promised.
One week later some issue arose with the boiler, a technician promptly came the next day. This is when I find out I am still renting the equipment as per their records.
It took another 2 weeks of frantic emails and phone calls to get this sorted.
It has been over a year now I still don't have a receipt or installation papers in-spite of 20 or so emails and multiple phone calls.
I have given up !!

New Furnace and AC system

I needed to replace a 25 year old gas furnace and decided to install AC as well . I went to four companies for quotations and decided to go with Canada Furnace . Gary is the first point of contact and is very knowledgeable and addressed all my concerns and questions up front .I was provided a detailed quotation that showed exactly what products were being installed . Gary's follow up prior , during installation and post installation was impressive and very professional . Canada Furnace installers were very meticulous in their work as well as their clean up .My particular installation had some challenges but we discussed our options with each challenge and came up with solutions together .These technicians are very good at their work .I chose Canada Furnace because they were competitively priced as well as BBB accredited .I did my research on line and read reviews that were very positive .What I really liked about Canada Furnace is that all installers are employed by Canada Furnace . No subtrades . My experience from start to finish was very positive and I highly recommend this company no matter how complicated your particular installation will be .

GAS FURNACE REPLACEMENT

We needed to replace our old natural gas furnace.
After reviewing quotations from four companies, we chose Canada Furnace Maple Ridge. The price they offered for the Carrier Furnace with 96% efficiency ( including programmable thermostat ) was good.
We were not disappointed with the service.
Due to the Covid19 state of affairs we were not expecting urgent services. Canada Furnace Maple Ridge was very helpful. We sent them an email on Thursday evening informing them of our decision to go with their company. We confirmed our contract on Friday 26th March morning. the company sent two technicians to our house the same day.
The Technicians were an excellent team - Very knowledgeable, keen and good at their work. They came dressed up with all precautions required to combat Covid19. Starting late morning (Friday) they promised to work until finish. Which they did.
We are very happy with Canada Furnace Maple Ridge and would not hesitate to use them again.

gas hot water tank installation

Fantastic service from the technician Ali! He installed a new gas hot water tank in my house. Punctual, knowledgeable, professional, self-confident, pleasant and polite, patient and attentive to details, he found a specific model of the tank that we were asking for and installed it very accurately and cleaned everything after. I am a long term Canadafurnace customer (now Reliance) and never was disappointed with the service provided. I would highly recommend that company if you need the job with your furnace, AC or water heaters to be done.

Excellent people and work!

looking for an AC for a while. Decided to try Canada Furnace because of other reviews and a 30% off promo. The sales person was at my home for 1 &3/4 hours. He went through everything with us. We had many questions because we never had AC with furnace before. Install was very fast, NEXT DAY. Installers we so nice and friendly. They made sure we all knew how to use our new AC and thermostat. Thank you Canada Furnace,

Nightmare from start to finish!

We had dealt with Canada furnace (Steve, previous owner) service was spot on, he installed our first hot water tank. Finally that tank died and we called Canada Furnace again for emergency service, long weekend of course. They came out, assed the issue and replaced our hot water tank, approx $2000.00, we had no water for about 5 days and family visiting from europe. Within a few days that tank failed, we called for emergency service and was given the old excuse “due to high call volume” we have to wait until monday...2 days for emergency service? After some shouting they expedited to the next day. 8-10 days later still no hot water. They sent another tech, a senior tech, since the reason for our new tank failure was how it was plumbed in. He replumbed in the new tank. So a few weeks later the piping they did failed and sprung a leak, flooding our tank room. Called them again, same 2 day response argument for emergency service, finally they sent the senior tech back and we had a visit from Lorne the Ops Manager. They assured we were going to be taken care of. Fast forward 6 months, again on a long weekend typically of course the plumbing sprung a leak again. More arguments with the unhelpful call centre, multiple calls to Lorne (we had his direct line by this time), no reply and again they managed to get someone out to fix the leak, to the plumbing they had installed! Call that another 2 days without water. For the passed 6 months we have had issue free. This weekend( why does it happen at weekends!) the plumbing has leaked yet again, flooding our laundry room AGAIN. Called their call centre in Toronto, had two phones calling, after 40 minutes of ringing I selected the callback option, they never did call that phone back, thankfully my wife called with her phone and after about 50minutes a man answered. He gave us the usual flannel high call volume, no service till monday some time. I asked him to get a supervisor to call me, after several trips on hold he comes back with I can have tomorrow service(today as of writing), OR speak to a supervisor/manager! I said book the appointment then get a supervisor to call me. He said no its one or the other! His reasoning later was that if he allowed everyone to speak to a supervisor then why would he be needed (employed). I sit now and wait for a tech to arrive. Lorne has not responded to my voice mails. We are about to replace our boiler and install AC....guess who is not getting that work? I know this was a long read, sorry for that I rarely ever crap on companies through social media, everyone has a bad day right, circumstances beyond their control and all that. Not this time, we have had enough of the poor workmanship and terrible service!
