Aquatech Basement Waterproofing

We worked with Dominic and his crew at aqua tech. It was a pleasure to deal with them from start finish, guys were on time clean respectful of our property. They were ready to answer any questions we had on the basement water leak. I have high regard for their customer service as in comparison to their competitors they were most responsive and on time with scheduling the date to repair the leak. Thanks guys.

Aqua Tech was extremely professional, did a fantastic job, ensured I was pleased throughout the whole process, was reliable, and returned after they completed the job when I had any queries. They completed the large waterproofing job over the summer on time, started when they said they would start, and were extremely responsive to my queries. We have had localized dampness in our basement for several years, but no obvious flooding, or visible points of water entry. We had our eavestroughs repaired, and downspout re-directed. We wanted to renovate our home, but were worried about future water entry. We contacted several companies which were highly rated on HomeStars. The first one wanted to charge an estimate fee to cover the cost of their initial visit. While we have no objection to compensating someone for their time, if a waterproofer charges for estimates, that tells us that they don't actually get many of the waterproofing contracts, and should be avoided at all costs. The next told us that our basement had never been waterproofed (it had - as evidenced by the black membrane over our benched walls) and that we were to call him once the demolition crew (which we would have to find ourselves, since he didn't know who to recommend) had ripped out our finished basement. His rough estimate was that our job would end up costing us $70,000 plus (including demo, waterproofing and restoration).

Dominic came to take a look at our basement at the end of a long work day. He was extremely honest with us, and said that he wasn't sure what was causing the water seepage (as our basement is currently dry). He advised us to remove the stained carpets, and just wait. Then, if we see any water, to call him, and he would be right over. We believe him, and we respect his honesty. The man is in the business of waterproofing basements, and he may have been talking himself out of a 'sale'. We knew that in the end, we may, in fact, have to do an interior waterproofing, with a 'to the studs' gut. To us, it only made sense to approach things conservatively, and if you don't know the answer, say so.

We took Dominic's advice and waited about six months. Not a drop of water to be seen - anywhere. We completed our home renovations, and saved ourselves a lot of money, and needless headaches. Thank you Aqua Tech.

We have had water leaks in our deli store for past couple years. Since we haven't been using basement we did not bother fixing it until, we realized that the problem keeps getting worse. Andrew from Aqua Tech was recommended to us by our Realtor, and we are so glad we choose Aqua Tech over some other companies that were cheaper than this guys, but their reputation on homestars was nowhere near Aqua Tech. What sets this company apart from others is that they have MASTERED the art of customer service. Dominic (owner) gave a very full and complete explanation of the procedures involved with the job and pricing and also an accurate explanation of when the work would happen. Andrew (job supervisor) came to oversee the work and answered all our questions. The installers were very polite. This company could have easily taken advantage of us by asking for further waterproofing but they were very helpful in telling us what work was NOT necessary. Even the warranty paperwork is very clear and official. I am very happy that we cancelled the other company after reading the reviews for Aqua Tech and booking their services.

The cold room under my front porch was letting in a significant amount of water after every rainfall. The waterproofing job was not your typical job, as the area of the leak was not easy to access and it was difficult to assess the right solution until the area was excavated. I had interviewed all sorts of tradespeople to get their opinion on how to solve the problem. Many seemed to oversimplify the issue and almost all others would be quick to offer an interior waterproofing solution without trying to understand or address the root cause of the water issue. When I met Domenic, I felt that he was the only person who was knowledgeable enough to understand the challenges of the job and explain to me how he would approach it based on all the various scenarios he would encounter once excavation started. Given that there was a lot of uncertainty in the job (until excavation started), I was a little bit nervous as to what was being addressed but Domenic assured me that I would have a dry basement and that whatever price was agreed upon, he would honor regardless of the work required to address the water issue. Domenic was good to his word, as when the job started, his team decided to waterproof an area which was much larger than what we had originally agreed upon, to ensure the issue was resolved. My family and I were very pleased with the results and we're very happy to finally have a basement that is no longer damp and musty. I will definitely look to Auqa Tech first for any future projects.

In a world where it is becoming increasingly difficult to trust anyone let alone the trades you can rely on Aqua tech to do a decent job and to treat the customer with the utmost honesty and respect – we both say, look no further than Aqua tech waterproofing.
