Clearview Home & Property Inspections

We found an older bungalow in western Toronto and contacted Tom to perform a home inspection. He was able to accommodate our need for a quick turn around and came in on short notice. He was clear, and careful in his explanations, and was patient in answering our questions, and giving us the time we needed to ask them. He produced a comprehensive report which included pictures and supporting material. Nice guy, too.

Good job! Tom came highly recommended and I consequently engaged him to perform a home inspection for my mother-in-law's home. I found Tom to be an extremely knowledgable and personable professional who provided me great insight into all major and minor deficiencies with the property being inspected. Tom not only took the time to conduct the home inspection, but also explained the issues that he found with the home and clearly told me how issues could be resolved. After reading the numerous positive reviews on the Homestars, we decided to call Clearview to see for ourselves if he's as good as the reviews say. We spoke to Tom for over a half hour on the phone and suffice it to say we asked him to be our home inspector. He's so enthusiastic with his work and he is very knowledgeable and patient. We put an offer on a house on a Friday. Tom was able to inspect the property the next day...a Saturday. He pointed every deficiency and taught us many maintenance tips. He also made sure we understood what was urgent and what could wait. Last but not least, he was professional, pleasant and personable. We would definitely like to recommend him to anyone who needs a responsible and qualified home inspector.

Clearview home inspections was fantastic!! After reading their great reviews we knew we wanted them to inspect our potential new home. I thought i knew a lot about homes because I like to learn and watch many of the popular home improvement shows on TV. After watching Tom go through this house meticulously, I realize how little I actually know. Oh well, the learning continues. Our inspector Tom was very knowledgeable and encouraged questions if I didn't understand something. The thermal camera was very cool and picked up some hidden moisture spots in the walls which he easily explained to us. Overall, great inspection and would definitely recommend!

Best inspection ever! I hired Clearview to inspect this older home in toronto. I new that there would be issues. I'm so happy we found Tom because he undcovered a whole bunch of other issues I had no idea about. It would have costed us an extra $50,000 to bring it up to where it needs to be. We didn't buy this property and we will certainly be using Tom again for the next house we look at. Amazing job...thanks so much

I contacted Tom from Clearview to perform an objective third-party inspection of a condo that I had recently purchased. He arrived right on time, was very professional, and made sure to answer all of my questions in detail. He discovered some minor issues with the place, but nothing that was a dealbreaker. I wasn't really expecting anything to turn up anyway because it's a relatively new building, but I figured that it never hurts to be too careful.

I wish that he could have been a bit more thorough. There were some things that I felt like he would not have noticed if I hadn't pointed them out. The PDF report was a nice touch though.

One thing that I really disliked was that Tom was pushy in asking for a testimonial on HomeStars. He created a profile for me and typed in comments for me and then asked me to approve it. Because of this, I don't think I would recommend him to a friend.

Tom was amazing! He was able to accommodate us on short notice. He was very thorough with the inspection. He inspected every corner of the home including walking the roof and going into the attic. His report was easy to follow and include all the pictures (digital and infrared). We were very satisfied with Tom's inspection and would definitely recommend.
