Kitchen Makeovers

We had our very large kitchen darkened to a more rich mahagony color. Tanya also matched 3 antique cabinets and our staircase to make the house feel more cohesive. She did the work in 2 weeks, her team were careful, quick and very tidy. We expected the whole house to be impossible to use,but really found the whole process pleasant with no inconvenience.

We have been exceptionally pleased with both the service and the finished product. We looked around extensively for companies and this company was the most competitively priced and experienced, and were able to work with our maple cupboards ( most other companies could not).

Tanya is a pleasure to work with - patient, accommodating and she knows her craft very well. She pays attention to detail, goes the extra mile and has a wonderfully pleasant manner. She is absolutely reliable.

We moved at the last minute from a wood to a paint finish - all of which Tanya took in her stride - coming out from Surrey to collect the new paint sample.

I contracted Tanya to redo my countertops with a spray on product that looks like granite. She came at 9 a.m. to tape and cover everything and then they sprayed the product on and were gone by 3 p.m. Countertops look great, cheaper than new arborite and no huge mess for weeks on end and the best part is nothing went to the landfill. Quick, easy and cheap (not cheap looking) way to update your kitchen.

I needed so badly to do something with my counters and kitchens in the bathroom and kitchen. Our house is 26 years old and all original. My friend had hers done by Tanya and I went to look at it and fell in love with her work. I emailed her instantly and she was quick to respond and give us an estimate. We are trilled with the work she has done and would highly recommend her to anyone.

We wanted to change the kitchen and bathroom cabinets in our home, but the cost was too inhibitive. We found Kitchen Makeovers through a marketing handout that my wife’s Mom had given us. We looked over the website and then decided to call to get more information on the process. We were very pleased to first meet Tanya as she was so friendly and provided us with the many choices she could offer and showed us samples of her product. Shortly after that we called to get a free estimate on the cost to refinish all the cabinets and countertops in our home. Tanya provided us a detailed estimate in a very timely manner and stayed in touch by email. We decided to change all of our sinks to different sizes and would not require painting of the countertops, so Tanya revised our quote accordingly. Tanya arrived right on time to get the job started and completed the job precisely in the time that was estimated. The job site was kept exceptionally clean and functional throughout the job. The change in appearance was incredible and it completely updated our 21 year old home. After a few weeks we created a small ‘touch up’ list and Tanya arrived and completed all tasks quickly and efficiently. We have now confidently referred Kitchen Makeovers and Tanya to friends that wanted to update their cabinets and stay within a very reasonable budget. We had replaced our kitchen counters and put a new back splash in a couple of years ago but still the kitchen looked old and dark with the original oak cupboards. A friend of mine referred me to the HomeStars website where I read some work that Tanya Bilmer had done. I sent her an email and that afternoon Tanya had called me providing me with all the information I needed to move forward with having our kitchen cupboards repainted. Tanya was very professional, helpful and informative. She has lots of experience and knows exactly how to get the job done in a professional and efficient manner. We also wanted to change the lighting in the kitchen ceiling and she provided us with some suggestions on how to accomplish a different look with pot lights. Our kitchen looks brighter, cleaner and more modern and enhances the existing counter top and back splash. We are very happy with the job done by Tanya and would recommend her to anyone.

We had our kitchen cabinets for over 20 years and they were looking tired. The team came and removed all the drawers and doors and took them off site to sand and paint. They returned and did the exterior of the cabinets. All this was done in a very professional, and super tidy manner. The end result are cabinets that look brand new and are in a custom color of our choice. I would hightly recommend Kitchen Makeowvers - great team.

Tanya and her co. recently refinished our kitchen cupboards. Customer service is excellent. She was always quick to respond to questions, explained the whole process, made good suggestions, arrived on schedule, did a great job and there were no surprises along the way. A rare quality. She made sure we were happy, making 3 different colour samples until we were satisfied. Tanya is coming back after the other trades people are finished as there are some minor issues that she is happy to attend to. It is all part of her service. We would definitely recommend her.
