We got Bill and his team to waterproof around our house and put in a couple of window wells. That led to a full backyard reno that gave us beautiful interlock and wood decks that we can't wait to use next year. While they were here, they even helped me to get rid of a large inoperative wine fridge that we inherited when we bought the house and retrofit another couple of cabinets into the kitchen. Bill Fairney and his team are friendly, extremely knowledgeable, very communicative, highly responsive, and do excellent work. They gave me options, had great problem-solving ideas, and consulted me regularly to make sure everything was the way I wanted it. They treated my property with respect and always cleaned up after they were done for the day. I've come to trust Bill and Peter and have already recommended them to friends.

My wife and I were new homebuyers that needed some masonry repairs to our backyard's first floor and main floor windows. Fairney and Sons came recommended from friends of our and we could not have asked for a better experience.

Bill did two site investigations: The first to get a sense of the scope of the work would be and a second to do a deeper investigation of the extent of repairs required. The whole time Bill was upfront about costs from best case to absolute worst case scenario.

Bill and his Team (Mike) were very friendly, punctual and extremely professional. Every stage of the project was well documented and an action plan was relayed to me before, during, and after the job was complete. The job site was cleaned at the end of each day and all materials were covered to project them from the elements over night.

The final result was a beautifully installed new single stone window sill under the first floor window and a new window well with a total project time of 1.5 days.

Bill and his team did external waterproofing as well as replaced the roof on our kitchen addition. It was a pleasure to work with Bill and his team. Bill always made himself available for questions and thoroughly walked us through each step. He made thoughtful recommendations and kept us appraised of the progress. We recently had an outdoor project completed by Fairney & Sons and could not be happier with the results. The pricing was fair - we got good value for our money - and Bill was a pleasure to deal with. Throughout the project he was driving by, almost daily, to monitor progress and address any concerns we might have. He always made us feel like valued customers and made himself available - this is a man who answers his phone and attends to you promptly! He beautifully co-ordinated all of his team so that the job was completed as quickly and efficiently as possible with minimal disruption. Our stone-masons (Gus & Ugur) built us a retaining wall, backsteps, interlocking paver walkways (front & back), backyard patio & BBQ pad and the job was absolutely beautiful! These men are true craftsmen and real perfectionists - lucky, lucky us!!! They showed up punctually each morning and put in a hard, full day of work and did an outstanding job!! We could not be more pleased! The fence team (Peter, Steve, Trudy & Tyler) came in immediately after and built us a fence, gate and installed aluminum railings - they did a great job! The neighbours were so impressed, one has already hired them for a fence & gate build, and another will be calling them for an upcoming interlocking paver project. We will certainly be calling Fairney & Sons for any future renos.

To have Fairney and Sons do this job was total satisfaction. The owner came out right away and gave me a quote and start date on the day I called. The price was worth the awesome work done by this team and still feel I got a great price . I knew their signage in the area and in our neighbourhood beach paper where if its been written there for years then the search is almost over. A do it yourselfer , Im hard to please and know excellent work and pricing when I see it. Always on time,cheerful,knowledgeable and available for questions was very assuring. We hired Fairney and Sons to do some exterior renovations including new front porch, new fence, stone retaining walls, paving and eavestrough replacement. Bill Fairney is hands-on in managing the process and has a great team of craftspeople who specialize in their fields. They were consultative and had some great suggestions to make the end product the best it could be. The carpentry and stone work are excellent! They showed up when he said they would (which, based on experience, is a big deal in itself!) and the work was completed expeditiously. We already recommended them to several neighbours who are proceeding with Fairney and Sons for their renovations. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bill and team in the future!

Our house has an extension and the bonus room in the basement as part of the extension flooded. I called Fairney & Sons based on the reviews on Homestars, and Bill came over on the same day to assess the situation and provided a quote. Approximate cost includes the $1750 city of Toronto rebate for the sump pump. Work was done in a single day and team was fantastic with the clean up. Highly recommended!!!
