Bill Tang has been 100% professional with us and has instilled this in the team that worked at our house, led by Ken and Tim. This was completed in October, 2014.
From his estimate visit we were comfortable we were dealing with a knowledgeable professional electrician and the results proved that. Throughout the job, we were kept up to date as to status and the job was completed well. His team were, besides doing a great job, extremely polite and extremely tidy. Bill and everyone have a great work model in terms of quoting, work ethic, tracking actual cost against quoted cost, billing and communication. I can truly recommend KNT and thank them all for their work at our house.

There is a reason why all the reviews on this website are positive, KNT Electric does great work. They are fast and hard working when on the job site. I was surprised on the first day they were here, within a half hour of walking through the home with TIm, there were holes and wires running in between the walls, they literally don't waste any time. They always showed up on time and always cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day. My experience with all this upgrading to the electrical couldn't have been better, I'm glad I went with KNT. They are honest and transparent with what they are doing. If I had any questions during the day, there was always someone there ready to listen and answer my questions. If you need electrical work done, don't hesitate and give these guys a call, you won't regret it.

Bill came out and looked at my house just hours later. We isolated which breaker the knob and tube was on, and he told me that if I didn't hear complaints from the tenants in the rest of the house that we would be fine.

Unfortunately, I did end up hearing a complaint, so that mean that the electrical line which didn't appear to be feeding anything on the second or third floor ended up feeding a main floor light. He was able to schedule a time almost immediately and his team performed all of the work- and even a little bit more that I had asked for last minute- with the utmost professionalism. In rewiring the light that was being fed on the main floor by the knob and tube to hook into the electrical in the entrance hall, some more knob and tube was uncovered and was switched out that day, as well.

I would hate to run into anything in the future, but if I do I will absolutely be calling KNT. I will even see about having them out - if possible - to do any electrical work that I may need in the future.

The KNT team, including owner and project managers were transparent, accurate and organised on all aspects of our project. We selected them over two other companies referred by homestars. As owners of a Toronto home, but living in Ottawa, communications was key, and KNT delivered with flying colors.

Bill and team did a quick and efficient job of replacing the knob and tube of our whole house. They were courteous and were able to work around a bathroom renovation being done at the same time. They have been open and flexible to come back after the job when I had some concerns and ensure everything was addressed. I appreciate the transparency of Bill's pricing and the level of detail he provides in his quote as this job can be quite overwhelming.

I have been fortunate enough to have had a chance to work with Bill 3 times. The first time I called Bill, it was based on the Homestars reviews. We were contemplating putting a bid on a house that supposedly has about 5% knob and tube wiring. We wanted to know how much something like this may cost us in the future. I was a bit apprehensive as the purpose of the call is to consult an expert and not necessarily to hire one so was expecting a rude or fast reply. I was pleasantly surprised that Bill answered the phone and took the time to explain the possibilities of what the inspection may mean and the possible costs. The second time, we were already in the house and had Bill come in to take a closer look for one of our visits prior to closing. He was at the appointment on time and took his time explaining to us what he discovered. He was also very patient in answering all our concerns. At this point, we have not yet hired or paid Bill for any work. Yet we have been treated with the utmost professionalism, organization and respect. All emails and phone calls were returned and answered on time. We finally had a small electric job and went to Bill and his team for their expertise, even though it wasn't knob and tube related.
Steven came in on time, and did the work we asked with minimal disruption. In fact, while he was installing our light fixture, he noticed that the (newly unopened) box wasn't complete. So we had to drive to the store (which was 30 min away) to get the part. Steven left, and came back to finish installing the fixture, without an extra penny to the original price quote! Working with Bill and his team has been such a breeze. I wish that they did more than electrical work so I can just go with them for all our needs!

The work was completed within the time period that we were given. His crew arrived promptly each morning and set to work immediately. They were quiet, neat and totally professional! After buying a new home, we needed to replace all of the knob and tube wiring. KNT Electric was very transparent with costs and timelines which made planning easy. Our old home had many quirky features (e.g., switches and receptacles is strange places) that were re-positioned in an intelligent way. After we purchased new light fixtures on our own, they replaced them at no extra cost. Everyone who comes through our house is shocked at how few holes needed to made. Bill and all other workers were very clean, honest, and kind.
