Our home is over a hundred years old, and it was in need of a major revamp.

Danny, Tim, and their team did an amazing job. We entrusted them with our house and our ideas, and they turned it into a reality for us. We were very satisfied with the work. We are new home buyers, so they took their time to explain everything to us, they were kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Each morning they would protect our items from dust, and at the end of the day, they would clean up everything. They even patch up any holes they make.

It was a big project, and I felt like I understood what was happening at each step of the way. There were no surprises and it was the kind of service I wish I could receive on all my home renovation projects.

We approached Tim of KNT to install some ceiling potlights for our Condo Unit in Oakville. So much paperwork goes into getting approval for electrical work done in a condo : Condo Management approval, paperwork for insurance certificate, COVID negative tests, restrictive time to do the work etc etc.

Danny provided all the appropriate paperworks so that the approval took only a week and they were able to come and do the work.
Although only half of the potlights can be installed due to the concrete ceiling, there were no complaint and they even changed the overhead lights without charge. Thank you Tony for being so efficient. You guys are a really good team

Tim and the team at KNT were incredible! They relocated our electricity panel and replaced/modernized the hydro mast on the outside of our house, which required coordination with Toronto Hydro.

From start to finish, communication with KNT was excellent. They handled all the coordination with Toronto Hydro so that everything ran smoothly and was just plain easy. Their craftsmanship was superb. Nothing but good things to say!

KNT Electric was doing a knob and tube replacement for my next door neighbours, (note: he was very happy with them as well). This was the day of the Ontario wind storm which caused a large tree branch to fall on our yard, knocking out the electricity feed to our house. KNT assessed our house as needing repairs and certification prior to Toronto Hydro restoring our connection. They drove to get parts, did the repairs, and secured ESA inspection that same day. All which still completing the work as scheduled at our neighbours house. They also contacted Toronto Hydro on our behalf to advocate for the power being restored.

They also use their small power saw to cut through some of the branches to clear a path to be able to use our front door (it was a huge branch).

Tim and Danny were both incredible to work with.

I wanted to get a quote on a pretty late Friday afternoon for an emergency panel repair/replacement work. They answered promptly, guided me through the process of gathering the relevant info for them, replied with a competitive quote and further great guidance in the same day. They followed up next morning with more suggestions and good advice.

I have selected several top rated companies, left voice messages and no one answered. or called back.

Eventually I ended up working with someone else that came through a couple of different personal connection. It was absolutely nothing they did, that changed my mind and, if not for this particular outcome, I would have definitely ended up using their services.

I first reached out to KNT about four years ago when I was thinking of removing the knob and tube in my 100-year-old house. Tim came out, mapped the house's electrical system and gave me a quote. He also told me that my knob and tube was completely safe and there was no reason I had to remove it unless I was planning to sell the house or my insurance company demanded it. How honest is that? Instead of trying to scare me into getting the work done he told me the truth.

Fast forward to this year, I decided it was time to do the job. I sent Tim the old quote (which was meticulously detailed, by the way) and asked if he could update it instead of coming back for another visit. He did so no problem and we agreed to a start date.

I also needed my old 60-amp panel updated and KNT did the work and took care of all of the back-and-forth with Hydro and the inspectors. I didn't have to make a single call after arranging for the original mapping. I actually left the house for the week and Danny and his crew took over, did the job right, and cleaned up fairly well when it was all done (there's no way around living with the dust until you've mopped a few times). Danny was extremely accessibly by text during the process, often calling, and sending my pictures. One small, but nice, thing - when they had a little plaster left over after patching the many (but surprisingly small) holes in the walls they used it to fix a crumbling wall in my hallway that had nothing to do with the knob and tube job.

They even installed new light fixtures for me for no additional charge and came back two more times to do little things like installing a dimmer because one light was too bright. Again, no additional charge.

Note that the price below also includes the new panel, and all the fees that had to be paid to Hydro (as well as taxes, of course). Tim and Danny took care of that for me so it was rolled into the total job cost.

I contacted KNT Electric as we were having some issues with our fire alarm. We are first time home owners (completely ignorant and learning as you go!). We have four alarms and the one alarm we have changed was constantly beeping despite doing everything right, changing batteries, etc, but the beeping would not stop. KNT told me what to check for, guided me step by step on ensuring the basics are covered and sorted out. We found out that 2 of our fire alarms were not working and one was over 15 years old! Due to our ignorance, KNT could have easily come over, charged us hundreds of $$ and we would have paid that regardless. Instead, they were honest, direct, didnt waist anyone's time and in a way ended saving our lives! THANK YOU for your honesty and integrity. Next time i need an electician you are my go to 100% (and hopefully you will always guide me thru my ignorance!). THANK YOU!!

Danny managed his fantastic crew on time, quickly, and they did a phenomenal job. They were quick to respond to our questions, polite, helpful, and even added one extra light at our request without charge. One day there was a big snow storm and they even shoveled the driveway when they arrived. I could not believe it! They patched up the walls perfectly, so perfectly, in fact, that we couldn't even tell they were even there. The whole crew is vaccinated, and they all wear masks everywhere in the house. Importantly, they also got us the Certificate of Acceptance from the Electrical Safety Authority on time. This document is really important for insurance purposes.

KNT should be your choice too if you need replacing your Knob and Tube system. We had other quotes from other companies that wanted 3-4 times more than KNT. These other companies were telling us how hard it would be to do this job because it's a 3-storey house, but it was all wrong. And we know, because KNT proved them wrong.
