We had some asbestos that needed to be removed from our home and we had a competitor of theirs give us a quote. The competitiors price was higher and was not as thorough. Greenstream took the time to look at all of our ducts and discovered more asbestos issues that the competitor did not bother to check. They did the work and left everything clean. I feel assured that tey did a good job and was very happy with their service. I would not hesitate to recomend them.

I bought a condo unit and after commencing my renos discovered mold. I found it on the subfloor after removing the laminant pieces on the surface. I realized the extend of the damage after lifting the sub-floor. The problem originated on the balcony (common element) where water pooled after the rains over the years in the slumped corner of the balcony floor going in towards the unit. The condo corp would not touch it since they feel that I am responsible for the interior of my unit. Since the problem started on the outside, I will be taking them to court to recoup my expenses. In the mean time, I had my unit tested for mold and it came back positive. I then hired Manny from Greenstream to clean up the mold. Wow, talk about professionalism. Manny came to my home to inspect the damage, then explained to me in detail what the process would be, the amount of time taken, and the approximate cost that it would be. He would later send me a quotation via email and then we planned when they would come in to do the work. The crew came in and did their work thoroughly and impressively. It took a day and they were able to salvage most of the walls thus enabling me to keep my expenses down. Compliments to Manny and his group for the fine work that they carried out in my home. GreenStream Environmental did a great job for us. We found asbestos material when renovating our basement. After an inspection more asbestos was found in various parts of our house. We then contacted GreenStream and Gilbert came to the house and quoted for their work to remove the materials. The quote came in lower than we expected. The job was estimated to take three days but only took two and the workmen left our house in impeccable condition. You would not even know they had been there, apart from the obvious removal of the asbestos. We now feel safe in our home thanks to GreenStream.

Aside from the good work done the workers even offered to feed our cat while we were away from the house. This was a nice gesture which made us feel more comfortable in entrusting our house to them.

A week after the work was complete there was a leak in the main floor bathroom that was stripped as part of the job. We contacted Gilbert and he arranged for a plumber to come to the house to fix the problem at GreenStream's expense. We really appreciated his help with this.

We would definitely recommend this company to other people. It was a pleasant experience and it restored our faith in hiring good contractors.

I work for a design & build contracting company and we've used GreenStream on several projects. It is not uncommon for us to find asbestos in the older homes we renovate, Manny is alway quick to accomodate us which helps to keep us on schedule. We were extremely pleased with the vermiculite abatement services provided by GreenStream. The time for completion of the project was shortened considerably by the prompt action of the Managing Director, Manny Oliveira, who was able to bring in and coordinate, on very short notice, the third party services that are critical in this type of work. The crew which worked in our home was diligent, hardworking, and respectful of our property.

We are renovating our 1960's home, were doing some of the work ourselves including demolition but were worried that we may have asbestos in the drywall joint compound and textured ceilings in the living/dining room. We took some samples and sent them off to an environmental testing lab and sure enough, there it was. The worst and most dangerous was in the textured ceilings so we started on our search for a company to do the abatement. There are many companies out there that do "abatement" and after interviewing a few we felt most comfortable with Greenstream. We wanted a company that we felt would do the work correctly, legally, and handle the disposal of the asbestos the proper way. Their team of four showed up on day 1 and spent most of the day just setting up. We had to be out of town for the next 3 days but they kept us informed via email, arranged for a 3rd party inspection/certificate of air quality, and when we got home the work was done, the work area was spotless and the air quality passed with flying colours. We were very impressed and would highly recommend Greanstream to anyone looking for asbestos abatement.

Manny was very informative and helpful. Most impressive was how quick he was at arranging an appointment, sending an estimate,arranging the asbestos removal, and addressing any problems. The crew did a thorough job, and left the place in pristine condition. Not cheap, but this may be the norm for this kind of job. Certainly very well done.

We needed to have the old asbestos wrapping removed from our radiator pipes running from the basement, in preparation for a renovation involving updating our electrical wiring. I called a few places, received a very professional response from Manny at Greenstream, and decided to go with his price quotation as it was detailed and also reasonable compared with other quotes I'd had. The process went very smoothly and the 4-person crew worked hard to complete it in one day. They did a great job and now we can move forward with our reno. I wish Manny would do entire renovations. His company is the best operation I have ever witnessed in terms of quality, speed, cleanliness and professionalism. The job was far more challenging than anticipated (removal of asbestos laden parging on a rubble foundation). He came in on time, on budget and was very flexible in terms of starting time.

We are extremely pleased with the job Greenstream Environmental provided us. It was difficult to choose an asbestos abatement company due to the lack of guidelines in the industry and advice available to the average consumer. We learnt many building materials prior to 1980 had the potential to contain asbestos and to get everything tested prior to renovating.

Greensteam Environmental impressed us with their professional and highly detailed quote outlining the entire asbestos removal process, and the safety procedures in place for the workers and for the client.

Greenstream Environmental provided all the necessary documentation such as general liability insurance, WSIB coverage as well as “dump tickets”. This proved the asbestos removed from our site was properly disposed in an authorized disposal site and not dumped somewhere.

Third party testing showed negative results after a full Type 3 abatement, providing peace of mind; everything was taken care of.

You may have seen their appearance on home renovation shows such as Income Property and Love It or List It for asbestos and mould removal. Knowing these TV shows had done “due diligence” in this company gave us confidence this was a reputable and reliable company. And, we were right.
