I am in the building automation bussiness and was working in a mechanical room were asbestos existed and we could not continue our work.
Our General Contractor contacted GreenStream, we made it clear that it was a rush job because there were deadlines we needed to meet and we were behind already. We were pleasantly surprised when the job was completed when they said it would be completed and under budget, their foreman was very knowledgeable and kept us informed at all times on the progress of the project

The home inspector told us we had asbestos around our heating registers. I called GREENSTREAM first and spoke with Manny. He explained everything to me over the phone and I just scheduled them. The price was just as my home inspector had mentioned. Nothing bad to say. They arrived did their set up removed the asbestos and left. Very efficient. Very clean. Very professionsl

We finally got around to removing the asbestos from the heating pipes on our basement as we will be doing a full renovation soon. I didn't know who to call and called a few contractors listed here on homestars. I was most impressed with Greenstream and their responsiveness. They came to my house and provided an estimate as well as a full explanation on the procedures. I was very impressed with their knowledge and made me feel completely at ease. Their quote was competitive, not the cheapest but not nearly the most expensive either. I felt their quote was fair and from the quoting, to scheduling to execution and follow up they were incredibly attentive and responsive. On the day of the work they arrived on time, unloaded their equipment and went straight to work setting up the plastic. Before starting the removal, the foreman asked me if I wanted to see the set up and was impressed with all of the plastic, machines and everyone knew exactly what they were doing. I was extremely impressed. Although it was an expense we south rather not have, it was necessary and I had no problem paying them at the end as I felt I truly got my money's worth and more. Not only was the work completed as agreed, I always felt safe and knew they knew what they were doing.

During a bathroom renovation my contractor found large quantities of mould behind the tiles and walls. He didn't feel it was safe to continue and insisted I have it professionally removed. I was upset and devastated that this would increase my costs significantly. A coworker recommended Greenstream as he had used them at his own house for an attic mould problem. Gilbert came the next morning and put me right at ease. Explained to me in great detail what would happen next, never pressured me nor tried to scare me. I received a written quote from their office that same afternoon. I met with a few other contractors, the quotes were within the same range, but I didn't feel they were as knowledgeable or as confident.
Went with Greenstream and so glad I did. I was also impressed that they have women workers as well as forewoman. this really put me at ease as i was alone at home during the projectThey arrived when they said they would, finished as promised and left my house spotless.
My contractor was so impressed that he called them for another project he has.

We moved to Hamilton recently and bought a turn-of-the-last-century duplex in the Durand. Being over a hundred years old, we weren't surprised to find asbestos. In our case it was the heating pipes for both units in the basement ... miles of them, it seemed. I got busy with Homestars on a Friday, looking for someone who knew what they were doing to help us. I contacted a few companies but it was Manny who offered to come that weekend to evaluate the situation. He could have tried to take advantage of our relative ignorance, although we'd read up on asbestos, but he immediately outlined all the options once he was here. His recommendation was not the most expensive one; our asbestos wrapping was in remarkably good shape so unless we were planning to finish our very unfinished basement, he felt treating any slightly broken or abrased parts would be more than satisfactory. We checked a couple more companies but remained most impressed with Manny. His crew came 3 days after we agreed to go ahead (by the way, no deposit) with hazmat suits and respirators, and tarped and covered everything in the basement. They were here on time both days and once finished, did a great job cleaning up. In fact, the basement was cleaner when they finished than it had been when they arrived! A few days later, a foundation expert was in our basement and commented it was the best job he'd seen. We are more than happy with Manny and his crew and recommend GreenStream wholeheartedly. We can't fault Manny or his company in any way ... perfect!!

Found out I had vermiculite in my attic that had tested positive for asbestos. Called about 6 contractors for information and pricing. Gilbert from Greenstream came by our house and took the time to explain the regulations and the process. I was very impressed with their professionalism and transparance right from the beginning. I received proof of insurance and WSIB coverage prior to starting as well as they refused to do their own air testing as it was a conflict of interest. I found this very reassuring, as they are confident in their ability to deliver and have their work inspected and tested by an independednt firm. They were not the cheapest nor were they the most expensive. But they were one of the few who offered to provide me all the documentation and credentials, and most importantly had complete confidence in their ability to deliver and stand up to independent testing. A few of the other contractors backed out of the job when I asked them for documentation and mentioned the independent testinng.

When I found out that I had asbestos-containing vermiculite in my attic, I thought I would never sell my house. Manny and his team were professional, courteous and did the job right for a fair price. My wife and I purchased an older home in Mississauga with intentions of renovating. Since the house was built in the '50s we knew there was a good chance some of the materials inside would contain asbestos. Sure enough, after hiring a professional environmental company to test different samples of material (popcorn ceiling, plaster walls, attic insulation, air ducts), a positive result was found in the ceiling texture material & tape surrounding air ducts.
