Long story, but the message is to call the right repair company -- and Elite is it.
It started with a defrosting issue. Another company serviced it and solved the problem. That was followed shortly by a leak, also serviced by the other company, but included replacing the fans. Then the fridge started running very cold. The company came back and replaced the main board at significant cost -- and they had already replaced it for the defrosting issue! I was in Europe and didn't realize what was happening. The replaced main board did nothing. We complained and they went silent.
Called another company and the guy came quickly, said he could solve it but needed parts and would get back to me. He didn't, and didn't respond to messages. But he also hadn't charged me for his visit, so he was a bit of a wash.
Then I called Elite. An appointment was made and he showed up on time. I told him the history. Within minutes, he realized the previous fan had been installed backwards! He fixed it in minutes and it's been humming along since. The cost was minimal.
Call the right repair people!
