We noticed finishedbasement.ca's office near our home so we dropped by to check them out. We were immediately impressed by the service and the guaranteed two-week timeline for the major renovation. After my wife wife did some checking on HomeStars and saw great reviews, we 'signed up' and work began within a couple of weeks. From the outset, we were impressed with the progress made each day. Work was completed within a tight and organized timeline and the workers were helpful and very professional (be prepared to choose your tiles, paint colour, electrical placement, finishings, etc. because the work does get done quickly). Our basement has been completed for almost a year now and we have had dozens of visitors comment on the excellent workmanship. Even my critical Mother, was impressed with the quality of the work! We're very pleased with the results and would highly recommend finishedbasement to friends and family.

Our basement was ruined by the terrible flood in July of 2013, and after waiting over a year we decided to completely gut and re-do it from top to bottom, add a 3- piece bath, as well as a kitchen area.We now have a beautiful new basement for our family to use and enjoy!

We were so pleased with Vitaly and Finishedbasement right from the start. Their quote was very reasonable compared to other estimates we received. They completed the job, with the highest standards, in exactly 3 weeks as promised. Every subcontractor that they hired were professional, pleasant and so hard-working. Electricians worked until 9pm one night, non-stop. Igor helped us throughout the process with the design and lay-out. The crew always made sure the basement was kept clean after the end of each day. The showroom in Mississauga had many samples and allowed us to select finishings and products with ease. Vitaly was always available to respond to any enquiry we had, almost immediately. We are so happy with our new basement, and now spend most of our waking hours down there.

We would like to also mention Richard from Pure CI and Halyna from HH Kitchen Reno and Design. Both were referred to us from Finishedbasement to do our sound system and our millwork. Excellent people providing exceptional services. Their reputation is completely in line with Finishedbasement.

Igor and his team did a great job on our basement. It was a two week job and they finished on time and on budget. This is the second time in 8 years we have used the finished basement team and both times they beat our expectations. They are a great family run company. Most of the team that worked on our first basement were the same guys who worked on our basement the second time. They are very caring about their job. They take the time to do the work right and are very neat and clean. I would use them again without question. We are very happy with our new living space.

I had a small basement (650 sqft) for renovation. We got 4 quotes and FinishedBasement is in the mid range, but they promised to complete the work in three weeks with no additional charge (one week shorter than their regular schedule). All other companies said at least 4 weeks. I had a tight schedule, so I went with them. I made the good choice! They did it in two weeks plus one day and on budget! Everything was neat and clean. It was the best project I had ever seen. Kyle was very professional on the contract stage and responsive during the execution of the project. Igor and his lads worked very hard and very professionally. At the completion, Igor even paid me $50 for some minor mistakes made in the balance calculation. I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism. I wrote this review 3 months after the project completion to make sure that the quality of the work stands against time. I was very happy with the project and this fantastic team. I definitely recommend them!

One suggestion for home owner: talk to Kyle for all your needs and make a good plan before start, because they do things in a very fast pace, no time for hesitation.

We have just had our basement done by finishedbasement.ca and my family and I are delighted with the finished product. We opted for the three week job so as to spread the jobs across time as our basement is only 800 square feet and save some money - and they finished on time and on budget! Our new open concept basement also includes a 3 piece washroom, a laundry room and a pantry thanks to Igor who helped us envision our space. It was a pleasure working with Igor, Kyle, Nick and his team of experienced workers. I have never seen such a hardworking team. On some days they began at 7:00 am and did not finish until 7:00 pm. The electrical, plumbing, structural and painting teams were courteous, tidy and professional. With respect to price, there were no surprises. As others have stated on Homestars, they are not the cheapest but the quality of their work is second to none. I wanted an organization that specialized in basements and had a devoted team to do the work. I am happy to say that I found such a team and would readily recommend finshedbasement.ca to family and friends.

When I heard about two weeks finished basement I was a bit skeptical. This Team has proven me wrong, not only they finished the it in two weeks but done professionally with high quality and every day the work area was left spotless.

Wow! Working with finished basements was a dream come true! The estimate process was seamless and straightforward—no hidden costs and we were made aware of all upgrade costs, should we change our minds later. With 2 young children, the showroom was perfect for us—a one-stop-shop of basement products (flooring, washroom vanity, etc.) to choose from so that we didn’t have to spend precious time searching these out ourselves. We appreciated them referring us to the home theatre specialist, co-ordinating with him so that the home theatre was completed at the same time as the basement. The design with Igor was extremely helpful, helping us envision the lay-out of our basement and allowing us to discuss/decide on important elements before construction began. The teams who worked on the construction of our basement were great—respectful, hard-working—it was amazing what they created in just 2 weeks of work. They were also flexible in incorporating last minute design elements that we wanted which were not part of our original plan. In the end, we finished on time and on budget and could not be happier!
