The day after a very rainy Boxing Day, my wife and I awoke to a wet ceiling and water trickling down our bedroom wall. Winter and the Holiday Season were in full swing and panic set in. Who could we turn to at this time of the year to fix our leaking roof?
I tried calling the company that had replaced our roof just 6 years ago and they were nowhere to be found. In desperation, I did a Google search on “emergency roof repairs” and was presented with a number of sites that offered “24/7 emergency roof repair service”.

I tried calling some of the better known roofing companies that offered emergency services but I either got no answer or got an answering machine asking me to leave my phone number. I was desperate; I needed to talk to someone. I had seen a website that offered seniors discounts and prices starting as low as 299. That site was roofrepairs.ca.

I was initially hesitant to call them because I was not impressed with their website. It was more of a one page ad than a website so I was very skeptical. I called their number and a live person was on the line.

Her name is Kim and she was an absolute godsend. She listened to me as I told her of my immediate need for a solution to my problem. She took my information and told me she would call me back shortly. She called back 5 minutes later and told me she would have someone drop by in half an hour.
I thanked her profusely and bid her goodbye.

About an Hour later, Rob and Ronald showed up at my door. They went up on the roof and appraised the damage. When they came back to me, they explained what they had found. It was not good news. Apparently, the seam between my townhouse and my neighbour’s townhouse had become unglued and water had gotten underneath and in between the layers. The damage that had been caused by this will eventually lead to replacing the roof.

They gave me a few options. One was a short term solution which might last a few weeks. A second solution would cost a bit more but would likely get me through the winter. I chose the second solution with the idea of re-evaluating the damage when the weather got better. They said they would see when it could be done and that I would get a call to let me know when it could be done. Later that afternoon Kim called me back and told me they have scheduled the work for tomorrow at 9 am.

The next day, they showed up promptly at 9am and proceeded with the work. After the work was completed, Brad Wyatt (the company owner) came and spoke to my wife and me. He explained in plain language what had happened and what they had done to repair the problem. He also showed us before and after pictures and videos which he had taken with his phone.

All in all it turned out a very pleasant experience dealing with everyone at roofrepairs.ca.

Kim even called a few days later to find out if everything was going Ok.

As soon as the weather gets better, I will have them back for a re-evaluation of what I need to do regarding my roof. I have no problem in putting my faith into believing what they advise me to do.

Called for emergency repair and office confirmed availability of Techican (Brad). The personal touch of office manager handling the request quickly was excellent. Brad was referred to me by another contractor working on another area of my property. He was supposed to just do a small fix, but after he took a closer look at my roof, he quickly adjusted his quote and told me what I already knew, I needed a new roof. While he was happy to do just the fix, I knew it would cost me more in the long-run if I didn't replace the roof now. Within less than a week, he was at my property installing a new flat roof with a good warranty. He finished in the time promised and kept the site clean and free of debris. He even did some repairs on a portion of the roof that was outside the scope of the project without blinking an eye. Kim at the office made communicating with them easy and this project was wrapped up easily without any concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend Brad and Roofrepairs.ca (and will certainly call them in again in the future).

After an unreliable company messed us about for over a week and after calling four other companies to arrange an inspection and obtain an estimate and having no response we called Roofrepairs.ca and someone actually answered the phone. To this day we are yet to hear back from any of the other 4 companies we called.Not only did someone answer but they also had someone come out to survey the roof that day in the rain. Along with their very responsive and reasonable estimate they provided pictures in support of their estimate so we could see the damage that required repairs. They did an on the spot temporary repair at no cost as the roof had an area which was leaking. While doing so they noticed there was a whole in one of the shingles on our neighbors side (we are in a semi) and repaired it at no cost as they felt it may cause a leak on our side down the road.They returned on the first clear day as promised, without any follow-up whatsoever on our part, made the necessary repairs and left without us even knowing. Two days later we received a call advising the work was completed and to make arrangements for payment. You would think, wow what a great experience, but it gets better. After the first company that messed us around for a week advised that a repair was not possible and that we needed to replace the entire roof, Brad from Roofrepairs.ca advised we had at least another 4 to 5 years before we would need to even start thinking of replacing the roof - honesty at it's best...see you guys in 4 to 5 years!! You've got our business whenever we need any roof work. You can also rest assured that we will tell everyone that will listen about our amazing experience.Thanks again for being honest and standing behind your word. We found RoofRepair.ca thru Homestars, for inspection and preventative maintenance of our roof. This is the most experienced, professional and honest company we have ever come across. Kim (office manager), Brad, Rob and Jeff were very courteous. They showed up on time and inspected the roof. Brad took pictures and very patiently explained condition of the shingles. He advised that our roof was fine and no repair was needed for another two years. He fixed a couple of shingles around a chimney.......no charge! We were impressed with their honesty and knowledge. I have a Marley roof and its rare to find someone/ company that will work with this type of roof. More so, I had a raccoon issue and various entry points were identified requiring repair and reinforcement. In addition, some maintenance work to the roof I.e. Caulking, tile replacement, etc. was necessary.I was thoroughly impressed with the gentlemen that showed up to make the repairs. Brad, Rob and Jeff went above and beyond to rectify the situation. Their skill, commitment and thoroughness were very much appreciated. FIRST CLASS!!!!!!In addition, Kim in the front office was very helpful and obliging to coordinate a prompt response to my repair needs. Brad & Kim never cease to amaze me. They were great at fixing the eavestroughs and found an issue with the flat roof that was repaired with care, so when we had an issue with a flood in the basement (too much water now coming in off of the lovely new downspouts) Brad came over right away to take a look and come up with a solution. From now on, they are my first call for any type of roof/eaves/water related issue. I highly recommend!!!

We have had work done from Brad and his Company RoofRepairs.ca since 2012. It started with fixing some shingles that had blown off after a storm. They always responded promptly as soon as we called. But since we were having so many shingles comes off, even though our house was only 5 years old, Brad inspected and recommended that we have the whole roof re-shingled due to improper installation and poor material quality. He even suggested that we have a few more roofing companies come and inspect and quote the job! Can you imagine a company asking you to check out other companies? It just showed us his honesty and confidence in his company's work. We did have three more companies come and quote, they all concluded the same problems with installation and poor shingle quality. We had a very old and dented flashing covering the top portion of a foundation wall which, in the past, had leaked water into the basement during heavy rains. We had a recommendation from another (non-roofing) contractor to call Brad about replacing this old flashing. We spoke to Kim at RoofRepair.ca, who was very friendly and courteous and arranged for Brad to take a look. Brad arrived right on schedule on the meeting day, and was very approachable, friendly, and very knowledgeable (and had a good touch of humour). While it was not a huge job, it would involve some tricky metal work based on where the flashing would be installed. He took the time to examine the situation closely, and to plan out the possible solutions, and explained them carefully to us. He also gave us a free roof check while he was on location, and did not try to sell us anything extra. He said he would return in a couple days to get the flashing work done. Sure enough, when I got home from work the other day, the flashing job was done, and looked very neat, tidy, and professional.
