We hired a previous company to fix the siding and replace a faux window in the front of our house. However, they were extremely unprofessional and misrepresented themselves. They said they could replace our faux windows, but they didn't know how to do windows so we ended up with a hack job.

After calling over 20 different companies, we found John McLennan Contracting, and it was a completely different experience. John and his crew are experienced and really know what they're doing. From our experience, they have the means to do whatever you need done on your home. Windows? Siding? Repairs? Interior? Exterior? Great. They made it happen for us.

They did a wonderful job on the faux window and fixed the hack job siding. Now the front of our home looks like what we wanted in the first place. If only we would have found them first!

We'd been given John's name as a recommendation for leakage/windows concerns, and he did not disappoint! John arrived at our Oshawa home & diagnosed the problem within minutes, and a crew was able to come a couple months later to repair and re-side the troubled west wall over a two-day period -- JUST in time for that awful pre-Christmas rain/snow storm. The experience was great - from John on down. His whole team was professional, competent & personable. And he guarantees his work. We would use McLellan Contracting again, and highly recommend!

I hired a another contractor to replace old siding on my home. The contractor presented themselves as knowledgably and had great reviews. Unfortunately, they did not live up to any of those reviews. Siding was put on without any backing, caulking was so bad it was all over my newly installed windows, this is just some of the long list of issues i experienced.

The contractor walked off the job twice when the deficiencies were pointed out to him. I then reached out to John Mc Lellan Contracting Inc for help and they were able to fit me into their schedule and get all the bad work corrected and leave me feeling confident that i was in great hands. The crew that attended the site were professional, courteous and took great pride in their work

We've used Mclellan Contracting to replace all our street facing windows, all the siding on our gables, and a new front door. The quality of the work has met all our expectations.

During the window install the wrong color white frame was installed and Kate was quick to assess and have it replaced with the correct color.

During the front door install there was an issue with the quality of the caulking job and some scratches on the frame -- again Kate was quick to assess and had it all re-done to ensure our expectations were met.

The difference between a good company and a great one is a willingness to stand behind the quality of their work, their level of customer services, and their friendliness when working through problems that inevitably arise during all construction projects.

A huge thanks to Kate specifically who have assisted us during all the jobs, as well as Harsh who coordinated, and Miguel, Lev, and Carl who did the installs.

The only thing I will say on the 'negative' side is the wait times for jobs to be done is long, however I do understand it's usually a supplier issue getting product, not Mclellan Contracting themselves.

These guys were the best. From the estimate to completion-professional in all aspects. Very happy with the work performed.

We have them remove three load baring walls and install three large steel beams. Had foreman and PM assigned to our job the whole time. Great job. The owner and PM came to our house a few times even before the work started. Will use them again for sure.

McLellan's workers arrived on time and immediately went on a walk around to determine areas that I deemed needed work done. They also pointed out areas that I had missed. The McLellan team was professional from start to finish and went above and beyond to help with this job. I'd be trying to get someone to come and do this work for 2 years, but everyone was "too busy" to do the actual work. This business came to quote within a week and performed the repairs within 6 weeks of quote and the repairs were completed in one day. They did work even better than was discussed, including extras and also walked me through the changes and details. I had 3 tipout roofs made waterproof, the 5th wheel roof itself repaired and resealed in areas, and areas around the trailer resealed and caulked and fixed. I would highly recommend this business.
