Ecoline Windows

We ordered new windows and patio doors for our home, we waited a couple of months for them to arrive, which is the average amount of time with any company. The windows and patio doors are very good quality, the screens fit perfectly into the windows with no spaces. Two very qualified gentlemen came for the installation, they were amazing, they were fast, they did a great job and were so clean it was unbelievable. I’m so glad that we chose to go with Ecoline and I would definitely recommend to everyone.

Excellent customer service. Each stage of the process had responsive and helpful staff taking care of all the details. Install was excellent and the end product is beautiful. Ecoline installed a massive patio door and added a window for us. Very satisfied with our experience with Ecoline.

Ecoline Windows have been a nightmare. Five replacement windows too small so 3/4 inch gaps around windows just filled with silicone. We have consulted with a local contractor who tells us the many things Ecoline did wrong. Apparently they should have removed siding to install properly, leaving us with windows that will leak. One new window is warped, wrong size and not installed as per building permit instructions, so needs to be replaced and installed properly. Door replaced - bottom weather stripping has split and falling off within two months. It has been 5 months since install and they continue to be uncooperative and insist we pay the hold back before they will fix anything. They also say WE have to hire a home inspector to do a site visit and provide a report before they will do anything. We've contacted 3 home inspectors and sent photos, they say they don't need to do a site visit (we are rural) because the installation is obviously badly done. The latest is they are threatening to put a lien on the house if we don't pay the holdback. Pretty heavy handed for a $1,400 holdback. We cannot believe the nightmare this company is.

I will never use ecoline windows again and will not recommend them to anyone. I have to be honest, the windows are good quality and I like them but the customer service is the worst I have ever dealt with. Nobody would return numerous phone calls. They had to measure one of my windows three times before they got it right. I had to wait 10 weeks for the window that was measured wrong to be reinstalled and then they didn’t show up on the date they scheduled and didn’t even phone me till 8:20 pm to tell me they weren’t coming. Very disappointed.

Ecoline has provided us with a quick quote and the best price of all the companies. Installation was smooth and we are satisfied with the result. I will recommend Ecoline to my friends.

Regarding quoting and installation of the upstairs windows on April 7, 2021.
Alex arrived last summer to provide a quote to install new windows on the 2nd floor of our home.
Alex was very professional, wore a mask form his vehicle to our home and throughout the entire quoting process.
His suggestions regarding the direction of windows opening and frosted glass for the two washrooms was much appreciated.
He personally measured each window, made notes. He then returned to his vehicle to complete his quote.
He returned to the house to present the quote to us.
I was impressed with the timeliness and attention to detail in the quote.
Winter arrived early and Polina and I arranged a springtime installation date.
April 7, 2021 was set up to be the date of installation.
The day of installation arrived. The crew arrived on time
A young man wearing a mask came to the door as his crew was preparing the tools and windows in the trailer
Artem introduced himself, did a walk around upstairs and got right to work.
The men were very respectful of both ourselves and our home.
When work was complete, Artem called me up to inspect the work and clean up.
All very good.
I had checked the outside and was pleased to see that all was left in great shape.
From start to finish, I am very pleased with my experience working with Alex, Artem and Polina with Ecoline Windows to improve our home.

I had my Basement windows replaced April 2 2021 by Ecoline Windows, the Installer was a real gentleman, Igor that arrived and completed the work did a beautiful job, he put a lot of pride in his work. It was a real pleasure seeing a contractor that came into our home and completed his work with flying colors from start to finish. We are very happy with his install. I would happily recommend them.

Poor service from installers. Takes months to get issues fixed. Wrong sizes of windows ordered. You have to keep calling and calling. Had installers out again with replacement windows. Showed up late in the day. Rushed and said they only work until 6:00 pm. Got upset that they were still there at 6:30 pm. Last window install was a nightmare. They actually out in 2x4s as filler to make the windows fit. Had to be redone as the install was bad. This last visit the one guy was very outspoken and raising his voice. It has been months and there are still issues. They keep saying they will give a discount on there next job. There is nothing but problems with their work though.

After the hail storm in June of 2020 we found ourselves with many damaged windows, and prior to that there were several that we believe were old and improperly installed. We had 7 companies come and quote our entire job and Ecoline was definitely the most thorough and honest with delivery times and concerns. They kept very close to their timeline and the windows arrived in the first week of December. A very thorough and friendly crew showed up, 2 experienced installers and 1 apprentice and I enjoyed watching them actually teach best practices. The constantly explained to me what they were doing, were very careful with our interior, very detail oriented in their install and cleanup. We noticed a change in the temperature in our house right away and four months later, with the snow melting, we are finding no mess left over on our lawns or around our house, they were pretty meticulous in picking up everything. I would happily recommend them again.

Very disappointing experience:

1. Purchased Sept 18, 2020 and was only installed on March 10, 2021 even though I was informed that the 'latest' installation date would be early January; no updates and I had to reach out repeatedly for status.
2. When I purchased it I was provided an option to pay deposit or full. In error, he only took the deposit so I was completely surprised when they reached out to ask for payment.
3. Workers arrive, no masks on, and I had to ask multiple times to put on their masks, all the while receiving grunts and eye rolling.
4. When a follow-up call asked about my experience, I explained the issues, and the response was..."oh well, you owe us the rest of the money". No apology provided.
5. Window looks good so there's the only silver lining.

I do not recommend anyone use this company.
