I am honoured and thrilled to be 100th to comment on the exceptional work PTR Carpentry has done for me! My home needed a lot of repairs and expert carpentry work. Initially, as many home owners are, I was nervous because of the detail and crucial attention needed to make sure my investment (and entire life savings) was rebuilt properly. Paul, the owner of PTR himself did the work and meticulously rebuilt my home with respect to the carpentry with such precision and attention to detail that the end result was perfect. When shown PTR's work to everyone and my other tradespeople, everyone is very impressed with the workmanship and beautiful results. Moreover, I trust Paul and his team, Paul is an extremely ethical and respectful person. I fully trust Paul and his team with my house and am already looking to hire PTR again for future projects. Paul, Jason and Marchant did an exceptional job building our front porch. They installed Trex deck boards, put on a skirt below which gave the porch nice curb appeal, they boxed out our posts for natural stone veneers, put in a door for access to storage underneath and finished it off with a trex railing.

I was really impressed with Paul's problem solving skills and his abiity to see the 'big picture' of the porches design. For example, the architectural plans for the roof line and gable over the porch were not going to allow for much natural light in the master bedroom which is located over top of the porch so Paul suggested a few alterations and we were very happy he did.

If you are looking for a top notch framer who is very reliable, hard working, affordable, who is a great communicator and who has a super team of carpenters then Paul Richardson and PTR carpentry is your best bet. I hired Paul from PTR Carpentry to frame our basement. He was very friendly, professional and his work was top notch. Paul and his crew were punctual and we're in and out in 2 days. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Paul to anyone look for carpentry services, he's the real deal!

Paul and his guys did an unbelievable job on our century home. They sheared the roof off, framed in 2 large dormers and seamlessly connected it all with the existing gables, they ripped up the floor and levelled it by sistering in new joists, framed in a bathroom and walk in closet. They worked very hard in some pretty hot conditions, and had to put up with plans changing on the fly as well as delays caused by me. He gave me great advice on situations when they arose, asked what I thought about how it was going and explained why things were being done the way they were.

The most amazing part occurred after they had completed their part and other trades peoples arrived to quote on other parts, (insulators, roofers, drywallers, electricians etc,), without knowing who did the framing all complemented on how well the framing was done and a few asked who did it so they could try and work with him in the future.

All thing considered you'd be lucky to have Paul and team work on your project, you will not be disappointed. I hope to work with them again on the next project.

Paul is an amazing, hard working carpenter who builds a piece of art out of wood. He is dedicated and very determined to finish all the work on time regardless of weather conditions. I've never seen someone being so passionate about the work like him. He built our deck in the scorching heat of 40 degrees, and didn't make an excuse to leave or to stop. Overall, if I could give an 11 out of 10, I would. I highly recommend Paul for any service that he presents.

Paul is a person in high demand. He framed my basement so I knew he did exceptional work. I wanted a fence built and waited 6 months for him to finally free himself from his busy schedule. It was worth the wait. He did the job on time and he did everything I requested. I normally would have taken time off work to supervise the job but I knew the job would be done well and done right. He became the first choice for his knowledge, professionalism and personality. I remember questioning my husband about choosing an important trade with a gut feeling.? because that was our reaction. Paul gave us 4 references which were all followed up by myself. I even visited a previous job site to see the work from PTR Capentry . PTR Carpentry was hired to reframe this close to 3ooo feet home from top to bottom. Demo was even added as a change order and the price was fair! Paul's knowledge of the industry rules is priceless....small details makes a BIG difference. for example our drywaller team is on site and they even commented on the shimming that was done to make a wall flush for drywall....Just that observation is a clue to the drywaller that this framing team is excellent. Paul and his team take pride in how they do their work for YOU! He builds it like it's his home!!

This is the second time we've worked with Paul and we couldn't be happier! We had Paul and his team remove our old basement stairs and rebuild and reinstall a wider staircase. Like our previous experience, we found Paul to be reliable, extremely knowledgable and proficient. His team was organized and respectful and left our house cleaner than when they arrived!
