I just came home and my heating machine is broken. It’s a cold day and a non-functioning heating system means that I will have no heating and hot water. About 3 years ago I purchased a heating unit and air-conditioning unit from A Plus Air Systems, the purchased totalled about $ 15, 000.00. From the moment the two units were installed in my house, they have never functioned properly. I am always calling for maintenance, which I have to pay for out of my own pocket, and the last visit a few months ago cost me about $ 350.00. Recently, management told me that I just got “unlucky” with my machine and that I should find another company to come service it when it breaks down because they cannot help me anymore. The individuals that service my machine seem to be unqualified and spend a generous amount of time reading manuals and trying to figure out the problem. They never seem able to fix the machine and it keeps breaking down despite being less than 3 years old. I recently wrote a review and received a call from Steve who told me they would only “fix” my machine if I removed my review from homestars, essentially blackmailing me. I don’t want them to “fix” my machine, I want a new one. I paid nearly 10 grand for the heating unit alone and it has never worked. It’s not enough to tell me I am “unlucky.” I paid a lot of money for what I thought would be an upgrade, instead it’s been the bane of my existence for the last 3 years. I dread coming home in the winter thinking I am going to find the heating system broken – aside from the comfort perspective, such as coming home to a cold house and no hot water, a broken system on a very cold day could contribute to a much larger problem such as causing my water pipes to burst. If you are looking for a company that truly cares about their products, services and above all clients, please go somewhere else because you might end up “unlucky” just like me.
Also, please have a look at my pictures, you will see where they installed the air-conditioning unit there is a whole in the wall, they have never bothered to remedy this issue either.
