Called Monday morning. Service arrived at 10:30 as scheduled. Problem fixed and site cleaned up by 1:30. Everthing was explained and options offered. Ryan Sherrer was the tech. Would not hesitate to recommend him or his company

the technician was very courteous and knowledgeable. he explained what was needed and was able to offer various solutions to the work I requested. He was efficient and the job was completed with little disruption to our regular daily routine. My tech's name is Jeremy and he was a very nice fellow.

Toilet replacement. Good advice received on where to purchase replacement toilet ... saving considerable expense.

Also provided advice on other plumbing issues as part of the service ... very helpful.

Will likely follow-up with additional work given positive results today

Returned home after 2wks away. Did a wash and found the waste water backing up out of basement floor drain. Mr.R sent Larry over early next day. He quickly diagnosed the trouble, gave me a reasonable plan and cost quote and efficiently fixed the problem. He did and showed me a post fix pipe inspection and its unlikely the problem will recur. Bonus!

Ryan was very professional,courteous and thorough. He immediately diagnosed the problem and even phoned American Standard to get the parts that were needed delivered free of charge as the toilets were still under warranty. He further explained everything he did and went over the bill with me to make sure everything was clear to me.I was extremely impressed and I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter to my friends and family.

I need a new mixing valve for my hot water heater in a hurry. Jeremy with Mr. Rooter was on site quickly, made the replacement and took care of the issue. I found him professional, informative and friendly.

Aaron arrived on time and was very polite. He was able to unblock my water flow quickly and efficiently. He also gave me some sound advice to avoid future blockage and great product recommendation. I was very satisfied with the service and will definitely use Mr. Rooter again.

Shower water was no longer hot.
I narrowed it down to faulty cartridge, so I tried to remove the handle to see what kind of cartridge do I need. But the handle was stuck. I was afraid to pull too hard to not damage the pipes.
I couldn't use a standard puller as the handle wasn't an axial-mounted one, the mounting screw was on the side. The only other idea I had was to cut the handle, hoping not to damage the cartridge as I wasn't sure if/how fast I could find a replacement. Too risky.
I already knew of Mr Rooter - they helped me before when I got stuck.
So I requested an appointment online at https://ottawa-on.mr-rooter.ca.
Got a phone call back in just a few hours and got the appointment for the next day - a 2h window.
Got another call about ~30min before the scheduled window: Luca was heading my way and arrived ~45min later.
He followed the tablet app-guided procedure, confirmed my diagnostic, provided an estimate and proceeded to do the work.
His experience paid off: he knew exactly how to pry and pull, the handle eventually got unstuck and slowly, slowly came off.
The cartridge was also stuck. It broke off in pieces. The last piece also took some time to get unstuck and uncovered the culprit: the bottom of the plastic cartridge and the rubber seal showed signs of melting - most likely the original installer soldered the pipes with the cartridge installed.
Next hurdle - the cartridge was a Belanger one, not commonly found in the stores. Luca knew where to call, quickly located a replacement (FC9AC008C) and went to get it, all the way in the East end.
Installation was much easier. Hot water as expected. Luca also checked the boiler and the mixing valve - all OK.
Only a $20 fuel surcharge over the initial estimate. The cartridge was included. In all a tad over 2h since he arrived.
No way I could have done it in less than a day (not even considering the considerable amount of stress). Well worthy.

A shower faucet/valve exploded in my house and was shooting water everywhere. It was December 31st and I couldn't find anyone to even look at it. After calling several plumbing services in Ottawa, I finally got in touch with Mr Rooter and they were the quickest to send someone (Aaron) to assess the problem.

I was given an overview/explanation of the problem as well as an estimate for fixing it, which I found reasonable. I agreed to go ahead with the work. The work was completed in about 2.5 hours and looked great. All question/concerns I had were answered and overall I'm very happy with Mr. Rooter and Aaron's work and response times. I can definitely recommend their services!
