Cli Electric

Our issue was that there was no electricity at all in the dining room area and the bathroom exhaust fan switch wasn't working. I looked up electricians in Homestars and contacted 3 companies (including CLI) that were highly rated. Only CLI replied back within a timely manner. They gave me a window when they would come and Adam came within the timeframe. He as courteous and quickly assessed the problem and got both issues fixed. Very satisfied with the work done.

For about a week or so, we noticed periodic flickering of the eleven 50W halogen pot lights in our kids playroom after being turned on. The flickering in itself seemed odd, but then one night the dimmer switch itself began to loudly hiss and buzz once turned on. We immediately turned the light off and knew we needed someone to come and take a look at it right away since this was a well-used kid’s play area. Not being totally comfortable with electrical problems, we weren’t taking any chances with children’s safety being involved. We found CLI by reading reviews on Homestars and gave them a call around 9am one day during the holidays. We received a call back within a half hour and they were able to have someone come out that same day. Adam from CLI arrived right on time per the window time given to us, and right off the bat he was both courteous and energetic. He investigated the problematic dimmer switch and was able to conclude that the switch itself was beginning to fail. He made sure that there were no shorts or wiring issues and checked the actual draw from the pot lights to ensure the dimmer was rated appropriately for the number of lights. He replaced the dimmer switch with a new one (he had a few to choose from in the truck) and put everything back together. All along the way, Adam was happy to answer my many questions (I’m a curious person). Adam is a super polite, patient and an enthusiastic gentleman. The charges to come out and troubleshoot were explained beforehand, discussing over the phone we knew the range of replacement dimmer switch costs (assuming that was the issue) and the limited inclusion of labour in the base amount. Final pricing was in line with what was discussed. While this job may be considered by some to be “easy” or on the smaller scale, to us it was way too important to take the problem lightly with young kids using that room daily. We are relieved that this issue is now resolved – thanks CLI!

Solid experience with CLI Electric for the work they did with us. We had an electrical panel changed (from fuse to breakers), in addition to a few plugs installed (GFI, and new washer/dryer plugs). They arrived when promised, completed the work, and provided a detailed labeling for the new panel. The employees were polite and kept the space neat and clean. Overall, zero issues or complaints. Did as they promised, to completion, with no surprises.

Once again, completely satisfied with the excellent service provided by Steve of CLI Electric. Would highly recommend them for any project large or small. Pride of work, takes the time to discuss the problem, and excellent prices!

We had flickering lights and fluctuating power when using a treadmill in the basement but the breakers were not tripped. Adam came over and found the issue as well as many others along the way (one of which was a serious fire hazard) and fixed everything he came across as he and his partner Steve went about. They were on time, polite and thorough. When they left, the issue was fixed, the house was safer then when they came and they cleaned up after themselves. We would hire them again.

They were fast and professional and a pleasure to do business with. We hired them for for Lighting, Pot Lights, LCD TV mount. The work was done in time and everything was top quality. I would certainly recommend them to anyone. Thank you so much!

Steve was willing to do a couple of small jobs most electricians wouldn't do. He also managed to fix my 80 year old porch lights, which I didn't think could be repaired. He was prompt, reasonably priced, did a great job and is a very nice guy. Highly recommended.

3) Clean - I wanted our site kept clean (I was super picky about this) and they happily complied.

4) Laura - Laura runs the office. She helped us schedule and put together our quote. She's on the ball and completely responsive.

We loved working with Steve & Adam. We worked with dozens of trades throughout our 1-month renovation and they were by far our favourite.

I am from Woodbridge and it was a pleasure it was having Steve and his team in my home. Polite, sweet and down to earth!! They looked after my home like it was their own.
