They would have received as close to a perfect score, but here's why they didn't:

1) They were going to install a new part into a dirty compartment.

When I asked if he was going to clean the part first, he told me it was an additional $100. I definitely needed it so happily paid it.

At the end of the installation, I asked him (Sam was his name) if he was going to clean up the mess he made from cleaning the dirty part left on the basement floor. He said he would and never did.

He seemed to be in such a hurry to get out -- and I was nothing but polite and courteous the entire time.

He asked me to turn on the furnace to ensure it would start and since it was over 90 degrees outside, I asked him to wait a few seconds while I turned on the air conditioner ...

.. and this is where he loses points.

He said he wasn't there to fix the air conditioner and if it didn't work, too bad for me.

Thankfully my air worked, but he really misses the customer service part. If my air didn't work, the company had a customer standing directly in front of their technician and he would have lost me with that comment.

The company also tried to sell me a new furnace instead.

So I wouldn't not recommend them, but they certainly could improve their people skills.

We were looking to replace our furnace which was 28 years old and wanted a energy efficient model. We had just replaced our furnace in our last house and really liked the carrier product that we bought but it took them 2 days to install the furnace alone. After discussing the products with Mississauga Home Comfort we purchased the furnace, ac and the programmable thermostat and everything was done in less then one day.
We were very happy with the service, are happy that the entire set is all energy-star and we are saving in both heating and cooling costs.

Bought a hose for my bbq and when we went back to return it with proof of purchase we were declined.

One of the most rude manager/owners I have come across. Definitely needs to take a course in customer service. He told me to go ahead and complain to who ever I felt like. So here it is!!!

We had a new AC unit installed late in the year. The next year the unit would not start. There is a LED indicator on the panel that clearly showed the coolant level was too low. I showed this to the service tech, who ignored it and continued to make 3 visits to my house over 2 weeks before ending up adding coolant to the unit. He had assured me that there was no leak and the unit worked that year.Last year the AC was not used and this year we found it cannot keep the house cool. I would never recommend these guys to anyone. I am now on Homestars looking for a better company to do business with.

My Rinnai was installed by the previous homeowner who used MHC. We discovered that the installation was done incorrectly after a year since moving in (rusted water dripping out of the unit). We called Rinnai who referred us to someone who could look at it for us and diagnose the problem. Once it was diagnosed, we contacted MHC who had originally installed the unit and asked them to come fix it. I was surprised that they were so willing to come out (they came within 3 business days) and fixed the problem right away. The technician was very friendly and fixed everything according to the Rinnai technician's specifications. Good experience overall but wish it was installed properly from the beginning!

Our 11 year old mid-efficiency gas furnace was replaced with a new High Efficiency Gas Furnace. This necessitated venting the new furnace through the brick exterior of the house. A home visit assessed the work involved. The careful planning of installation led to an efficient installation. The workmen arrived on time; completed the task the same day including removal of all debris.

We were pressured for a quick replacement of a hot water heater. After just three quotes, Mississauga Home comfort came in lowest. The other bid was about the same, but the quote was done by someone not knowledgeable, the company he represented had bad reviews and there was no confidence the job could be done competently. Home comfort is a local company with a good reputation. They arranged for an Energy Audit the very next morning, and the day after that the unit was installed. Good job on the install, nice unit.

Mississauga Home Comfort provided the most exceptional service when we ordered our fireplace. We realized on a Saturday that we had to purchase and install a fireplace prior to our renovations starting the following Tuesday. The fire was delivered on Monday and although their installers where extremely busy they fitted us in. The 2 installers were wonderful and worked late to ensure the job was done.

We were looking for a gas fireplace for quite a while and were rather dissatisfied with the quality of service provided until we came upon Home Comfort in Mississauga. Most dealers had little information and did not provide us with many options. The sales person at Home Comfort was very informed and not at all pushy. Although we decided not to buy on our first visit and he spent a lot of time with us he was very understanding and friendly. In the end he also provided us with the best price.
