I would first recommend some research on the type of job you want done before going for quotes (shingle company & type, venting, underlay, etc. ) as this makes it a easier decision later. I was interested in a specific shingle (Certainteed - Highland Slate) for my roof and also wanted the Certianteed warranty. Check into the reuse of vents and flashing - the cheaper quotes will do this. Titans however, do provide new vents & flashing with choice of colour. Also, you can go for ridge venting (my choice) at no additional charge - other than the wood to block the old vent holes. I also wanted the polymer underlay (Diamond Deck) which is required for the Certainteed warranty.

Due to my shingle choice being a bit of an oddball, the job started later than planned but I wasn't really in any hurry. The crew started on a Wednesday as promised and finished shingling on Saturday. Monday the job was completed with the new flashing installed. The cleanup was good however I think any roofer will leave behind some nails in the nooks and cranny's - I picked up a handful.

I'm very happy with the way the job turned out but I think most roofing job looks great when freshly done. Time will tell. One commonly overlooked and very important aspect is to check into your attic situation - my house had most of the soffits blocked by insulation - this not only keeps the house too hot but bakes the shingles & significantly reduces their life. This needs to be fixed to get the advertised life out of the shingles. I cleared away the insulation myself but some roofers will do it for you.

I would recommend Titlans Roofworks as they did a fine job, at a reasonable price in a timely manner.

This is a follow-up to review done after the roof was re-shingled. It’s one thing to see interest and enthusiasm when you’ve got a job in the thousands of dollars. But what happens when you need help with a very small repair? Shortly after Titans gave me a brand new roof, further home maintenance resulted in a hole needing to be cut in it. To further complicate things, I had to coordinate Titans arrival with a second contractor in order for a third contractor to complete the initial project. YIKES!! I was prepared for absolute chaos. Shawn didn’t skip a beat. His response: “Not a problem. Give your contractor my number, have him get in touch with me to discuss timing and we’ll be there.” And within a couple of days, they were. Job done. Now that’s easier than “The Easy Button”!

After recieving many quotes for my roof it was a very easy decision on the company I was going to select. Shawn from Titans Roof Works met me at my home, did a thorough job explaining what needed to be done and most imprtantly he gave me a crash course in roofs. To me it was just some plywood with shingles nailed over top. He showed me examples of things I should be paying attention to when picking out shingles and flashing. Shawn gave me the opportunity to see what a completed job by Titans Roof Works looks like and I must say they do take pride in the quality of thier service. In my opinion thier work is far superior.

The day the roof was completed the staff was friendly and very respectful. They arrived on time, worked hard all day and stayed until the job was done. The cleanup was impressive, no nails/shingles/garbage anywhere on the property.

Finally! TITANS ROOF WORKS – a contractor that we hired and can wholeheartedly recommend after the job was completed. This doesn’t happen often to us! Our roof shingles needed to be replaced and after hours of searching on websites, reading recommendations on HomeStars & Better Business Bureau, talking to neighbours and going for walks to look at roofs to critique finished products -- we narrowed our search down to four companies and asked them to provide us with quotes. As you can see, we don’t take parting with our hard-earned money lightly and not only did we want our old shingles replaced with good-quality shingles but we wanted outstanding workmanship and for our home to look significantly better. We finally took the plunge after going through the grueling quotes process and hired TITANS ROOF WORKS for the following reasons: (1) Shawn (owner of TITANS ROOF WORKS) clearly took pride in the workmanship and finished product. He provided us with a list of jobs he had previously completed including addresses, brand name and colour of singles. He not only replaces the shingles but his detailed quote automatically included replacing the flashing which most people who are looking to replace their singles don’t realize can significantly enhance the overall look of their home. Anyone that needs to have their roof replaced will also have non-matching builder flashing with dried-up/cracked caulking and to have this replaced at the same time was such an added bonus. Shawn even has an experienced crew member dedicated to doing this job in order for it to be done right and we were able to choose the colour from a large colour pallet because it was important to us for it to blend in with the overall look of the home. None of the other roofers even mentioned the flashing and to have this done now simply completes the whole roofing package. During our initial meeting Shawn took the time to honestly explain the warranty and exactly what materials will be used and what other options we have. (2) Along the line of excellent workmanship Shawn made it clear to us that his crew understood not only the importance of a proper installation but also the details that goes into good workmanship. This proved to be true after looking at previous work done by TITANS ROOF WORKS compared to some other roofers in our area. (3) And of course there is the price – an all important issue. TITANS ROOF WORKS quote was not the lowest but it was very close plus it included the flashing. This combined with Shawn’s willingness to provide information and his ‘no-pressure’ demeanor certainly instilled the confidence we needed that the job was not only going to get done properly but it would meet our high quality expectations. Two other quotes were significantly higher by approximately $3000 but even if the price was the same they did not give us a reason to go with them over TITANS ROOF WORKS! (4) Shawn was always punctual and this included the time frame in which he promised to have the job done. On the day of the install the friendly TITANS ROOF WORKS crew showed up at 7:30 am as promised, and after prepping by covering up all areas around the home with tarps they removed the old shingles and flashing, installed the new ones, and the crew left by 5:30 pm after a thorough clean up and Shawn’s final inspection. (5) Although we were extremely happy with how much better our home looked from the road with the new roof and flashing I still felt I had to go up on the roof to inspect the quality of work for myself. I have to add that we are very picky and detail-oriented and expected the ‘contractor problems” to begin at this point because we are known to have the potential to be any contractors’ worst nightmare…. but after going up and inspecting the roof I could not find a single issue with the install and even the gutters were cleaned out! (6) Our roof was installed in May 2012 and we highly recommend Shawn Lowe and the TITANS ROOF WORKS crew to anyone in need of a new roof. Based on our positive experience with TITANS ROOF WORKS our HomeStars rating for this roofing organization would be a 10 out of 10 -- and it’s well deserved!

I had a leak over my garage area and Shawn came out last Oct to do a quote. I did my homework and I could tell instantly he knew what he was talking about my roof was somewhat complicated being a house of 76yrs old with a flat roof, turretts, and dormers I wanted a company who was honest and reasonable with a good quality shingle. Titans did an amazing job. I had the work done in May 2012 and the crew was diligent in the removal of shingles, cleanup and safety (they were hanging from ropes during the removal and install). They also did an amazing job at the flashing, I wasn't thrilled with the end project over the garage so I called shawn and he came out and he thought of a solution where my flat room and the new shingles came together- it looks great! Would highly recommend this company to others who need a new roof. They deliver excellet service and quality of workmanship. I also no longer have a leak and shingles flying off the roof when the wind blows.

We recently had our roof replaced by Titans and couldn't be happier with the service and quality that we received.
