Dave, I really want to thank you for the fantastic job you did on the crack in my foundation wall in my laundry room.

I moved into my new home last June, so this was my first winter and we definitely got our fair share of snow this year. A couple of months ago, I noticed a small bead of water in behind my washer and dryer, but since it was so minor I didn't think anything of it. Then about a month ago we had a break in the cold temperatures and experienced a bit of a thaw for one day along with tons of rain. I came home that night to find my laundry room floor covered in water. I knew I had to get something done before the real spring thaw started. I began looking online for foundation repair companies.

I had just completed making my list, after checking into each choice carefully, when we experienced another warm day. For the second time, I came home from work to a flooded basement. The very next day, a Friday, I phoned Dave's number.

He was out on a job so I left a brief message about the issue I was having and asked him to give me a call back at work. I truly wasn't expecting his call until Monday but he returned my call within two hours. I gave him more details about the problem and was pleasantly surprised that he agreed to come out and take a look that same afternoon to see what he could do. Not only that, but he would meet me when I got off work, so I didn't have to arrange for time off. Within five minutes of arriving at my house, he determined exactly what the problem was and assured me he could fix it from the inside. There was no need to do any costly outside excavation. The charge for the repair was more than reasonable and a lot lower than what I thought it was going to cost me.

Then to top it off, Dave said he didn't have any plans on the weekend and could come out on Sunday to do the repair. He was booked solid for the next week and I think he knew I was worried about another warm day and having another leak. He arrived promptly and in a great mood and walked me through what he was going to do. The bottom half of the wall where the crack was located was behind a layer of bricks, so in addition to him having to remove some drywall, he had to remove bricks. He finished the repair within 2 hours and left the room immaculate. He even hauled away all the brick debris for me. Now I can't wait for the warm weather to begin and all this snow to melt. I am confident I won't have any more leaks.

Dave, you exemplify customer service - something that is really lacking these days. In my opinion you went over and above the call of duty. Should I ever need this type of work done again, I would not hesitate to call you.

We hired DM Foundations to repair some minor vertical cracks on our foundation basement walls. Dave was very professional and knowledgeable in what he does which make me feel comfortable to engage them for this job. Overall, I am very happy with their service and would have no problem recommending them.

I found a few cracks on my basement walls, and started getting some quotes from different places. Only 2 out of 5 showed up, Dave Marcotte came and gave me his opinion as well as pointed out another crack from the outside I had not even noticed! he recommended removing one of the walls to make sure the was no water coming in and to fix it since there was signs of water going in.
Dave recommended doing a crack injection repair using polyurethane, he explained why this was the best solution.

I ended up removing the wall, and as Dave said, the crack was pretty big, and there was signs of water coming in, thankfully only a small amount of mold on the drywall.

A few days later, he came over with his guys, and again explained to me what they where doing and how they were doing it. the process took a couple of hours, and we had quite a bit of rain and snow since then. no water coming in!

I knew that getting my basement waterproofed would be an expensive job, so I did a lot of research on the process and had many foundation companies do a walk through of my home and provide estimates. Dave Marcotte impressed me immediately with his knowledge, honesty, and competitive pricing. He and his team did excellent work - timely, tidy, high quality, and professional. There were several challenges along they way (as expected, my home being over 80 years old), but Dave handled them all with care and without added cost. He was able to provide several extra services regarding my fencing and patio that made my life much easier. I couldn't be more satisfied with his work. I would recommend him highly to anyone looking to have work done on their foundation.

Several years ago we had a water leak in our basement and we were looking for a professional to advice on how to proceed in fixing the problem. We found out about Dave Marcotte Foundations and asked Dave to inspect the leak. He certainly found the leak and got it fixed. Recently we decided to renovate our basement and it being a considerable investment we asked Dave to come back to inspect the basement.
As always he arrived on time and did an inside and outside inspection of the foundation. He found two issues that should be resolved. One being a crack on the back wall and another was water condensation and mold around the header area of the front wall. He repaired the crack and provided us with valuable advice as to how to insulate all around the header area to prevent future condensation. He went beyond his call of duty in providing leads on how to go about finding a company to do the work and what to expect in terms of the cost and how to save too. I am awaiting the insulation to be done next week. Further I should point out the work done by Dave came with a 10 year warranty at a very reasonable cost.

Dave and his crew excavated the front of my garage to repair cracks in the foundation. In front of my garage there was approximately 2-3 feet of patio stones before the pavement began. Dave and his crew carefully removed the stones and they were expertly replaced after the job (great landscapers as well). For the job itself, the crew ended up removing large boulders that were in front of the foundation with no complaints and sealed all the cracks according to plan. Dave's estimate was very detailed on what was to be done and despite the boulders the job was completed on time and at the quoted price. After the job all materials were removed and the driveway was left spotless. I would highly recommend Dave Marcotte Foundations for any foundation repairs and will use Dave for all future work at my property. It is nice to have hard-working people like Dave who you can count that are honest (do only what is required) and give you value for your money.

We were looking for the source of a problem and had DM Foundations come out for some assistance. Dave easily found the problem and explained in detail the issue and the steps involved to rectify the problem. HE was courteous, on time, true to his word and up front regarding costs. The work was completed as promised and the area was cleaned up!

The tradesman I originally had highly recommended to me for foundation work was booked solid for months (which is, incidentally, an indicator of a high quality outfit). Since I was unsure of the seriousness of the foundation issue with which I was dealing, I couldn't wait on my original recommendation so turned to Google and the Better Business Bureau website. I found a couple of contractors with A+ ratings on BBB and had them stop by for estimates. I was left unimpressed: one was a fearmonger who attempted to sell me repairs I obviously didn't need, while the other quoted me an outrageous price for a simple reparging when there were clearly other issues to be addressed (e.g. the source of a slightly waterlogged and crumbling foundation).

The positive from all of this was that my googling led me to the Home Stars website. I called Dave Marcotte Foundations based on this company's excellent reviews on Home Stars. It turned out that Dave was also extremely busy (I called in July and he was already booking for the spring) but, despite not being able to handle the work, volunteered to stop by and give me an assessment of my problem. I was impressed from the moment Dave arrived: he was straightforward in his appraisal and description of the problem without resorting to scare tactics. He walked the entire perimeter of the house, checked the basement, noted the soil conditions, etc. before providing a final diagnosis (I was impressed by the level of thoroughness). He gave two options, one less expensive, but that would require revisiting in the future and a costlier longterm solution, but there was no hard sell.

Dave reassured me that the problem wasn't overly serious and could wait until the spring to address, but he happened to have a job one street over starting a couple of weeks later, and gave me the option of having his crew split time between the two sites if I wanted to start sooner. When it came time to get to work, everything was done on time, to budget, and with no mess. As the job progressed, there were a couple of additional issues uncovered (packing a crack in the wall below ground level was one), but Dave solved them at no extra charge.
