Speers Flooring

Very happy with our new flooring and very satisfied with the service from Speers Flooring as they worked with us on dates and consulted while work was in progress.
We needed to update our floors before new kitchen installation took place and didn't want the mess and hassle of having old tile removed. Vince visited and discussed options with us and we choose to have tile laid over existing tile in the kitchen and floating engineered hardwood throughout the rest of the ground floor, comprising living room, dining room, entrance porch, hallway, office and tv/den.
The project was split in two parts. Tile laid first in order that kitchen renovations could commence. This was completed in three days.
Derek and Nathan then worked on the hardwood. They ripped out existing baseboards, removed existing fitted carpet; building up the floor to be level throughout all the rooms. They installed over a 1000 sq.ft. of the hardwood with appropriate underlay, cut doors and door frames so that floor would slide beneath and installed new baseboard and shoe. When challenges arose and choices were to be made they asked our preferences giving the pros and cons of the different solutions. This was particularly noticeable when they had to find solutions for the two steps (up from the Entranceway and down to the washroom) that were required.
