West York Paving Ltd

West York was one of 3 contractors recommended by Homestars. Joe appeared at my home within 2 days of posting my project on Homestars in July/19. I signed a contract that stipulated a completion date of Sept./19. They ripped up my driveway immediately and I have been held hostage now approaching 4 months. I contacted the company at the end of September and was redirected to Joe who seemed to shrug off the unacceptable time delay and my concern for the increased risk of colder temperatures and greater precipitation that would impact proper ashphalt installation . He was not even concerned about the loss of potential customers when I advised that the West York sign he planted in front of my house was attracting more negative attention for the company. He said that he didn't care about opinions of potential customers because they were extremely busy regardless. This disrespect for the customer immediately made me feel like I was swindled. He offered to fit my job in to his busy schedule on Oct.30, after 5 p.m. The day before Halloween was obviously not ideal. In any case it had rained extensively all day and night preventing any work from proceeding. The installation has now been scheduled for Nov.6. The weather network is forecasting very cold temperatures, rain/snow for the evening and the next day. With all the delay and the inconsiderate attitude expressed by the company, and Joe, particularly, I do not trust the outcome. I certainly distrust the company and the positive reviews awarded this company.
