Decor Floors

My fiancé and I were extremely happy with decor floors. We just got our brand new house and wanted to get the floors done before any furniture arrived and Deep assured us that if we paid a deposit she could get the job done in 2 days and she followed through! Thank you Deep! The only downside we had with decor floors was trying to get a hold of Deep herself! It was nearly impossible!! But other than that the job was well done and in a timely fashion!! We are very happy and already have a referal!

I dealt with the Dundas/Winston Churchill store. First they don't tell you it is just a showroom, until after you paid. You have to pickup at the Dixie Rd location on your own time. Not in stock, too bad, wait. Of course they don't call you, you follow-up with them numerous times.

I am a repeat customer having purchased laminate from Decor floors for the first time for my condo and the second time recently for my new home. Excellent customer care and service and attention to details. I like the fact that they respected my budget and advised me about what the best bang for buck was for the amount. My flooring looks beautiful and flawless.Needless to say I am a Décor Floors customer for life.

Lousy after sales service. I have been trying to fix my hardwood floor problem for the last 7 months, without any luck. They talk about a one year workmanship warranty which is absolutely untrue and non existing. Avoid Decor Floors Brampton location to avoid going through all the heart burns.

Apr 15, 2013: Further to my review above, Decor Floors have contacted me and have tried to resolve most of the hardwood issues.

The best docor rep. was very freindly and offered a great price, but the work was awfull. All my hardwood floors started creaking in 1 week, The contractor was not punctual and the timelines were missed... they were very lousy with the installation and took 2 weeks. The hardwood itself was chinese low quality wood. I made a mistake by taking the word of the representative, but be sure test the wood before signing on. The wood dents even if a spoon drops on the floor.

We hired Decor floors to install some carpet and under pad in our home. My experience was a bit of a mixed bag, if I only had to deal with Jim out of the Mississauga store i would have given 8 or 9. Unfortunately during the process I had to deal with whomever would pick up the phone when Jim was not in. For some reason everything is kept separate and unless you talk to who you deal with, nobody else can help you. We also had an issue with the gentleman who did the measurements, as he started playing the game of how many cuts in the carpet. When we first got the quote we had said that we don’t want to hear about cuts, we will give you the dimensions and a floor plan and you can quote on that. Jim agreed and we left a deposit. Then the measuring day came and of course the price wasn’t even close to the quoted price and I had to hear about cuts. The good news is that I asked Jim to take care of it and he did.

As for the work itself, the installer showed up on time and the job was very well done, except the installer installed over one of our heat registers. But a quick phone call later Jim had that taken care of as well.

Decor floors did beat the best quoted price I had on the carpet, so as long as you deal with Jim, and are prepared for the games most floor salesmen play I would recommend them.

I was looking for flooring for my basement renovation. I spoke to the sales rep in the Brampton location and he sold me on a type of laminate and tile they had in stock. After shopping around for a day he advised me they did not have the laminate I wanted. I had to settle for a different shade & style. Next I needed an extra box of tile and the store didn’t place my order after I paid. This delayed my project for a week until the material was shipped. Then I wanted to return the extra laminate (6 boxes) and they would not as it was longer than 7 days. Terrible customer service, I will never use them again!!

Hired this company to do hardwood floor, they came on time and did the job professionally. The job is well done, everyone was impressed by the new hardwood floor. We are glad to make a good choice.

Despite deposit and booking install date weeks in advance,,,they forgot to notify the installers, we really had to scramble with them to come on the date planned. Had WE not called to confirm, they wouldn't have showed up.

The installers were a disaster. they did not speak any English, wore their shoes on our new carpet until we told them not to. They cut the wood in the house, creating a big mess. The new baseboards are a disaster, wrong colour and just a very sloppy job. An overall rude team of installers that I would never do business with again.

Installers cut laminate floor in our house causing an extensive mess which resulted in us having no kitchen for 3 days and needing to get our ducts cleaned soon, caused over 1000 dollars in damages including but not limited to a broken tile in our kitchen, cutting our alarm wiring, damaging our cherry wood dining room table and breaking a light. Also did a sloppy install job, our floor boards began separating, they used the wrong colour putty on our baseboards which resulted in brown stains, and our basement landing nosing was done entirely incorrectly.

We were given the run around when we called to complain...we had to keep callng them to remind them to send someone out to fix things. It has been over a month and still not all the repairs are done. We had to get things repaired twice because the first time they sent the same installers who proceeded to fix things incorrectly and sloppily.

We are still waiting for reimbursement for our alarm expenses, and the company refuses to give us any money back. Their best offer was 100 in store credit which is a total joke. The owner of the company wouldn't even speak to us, he refuses to return our phone calls and we were told if we came to the head office he would refuse to see us.

We are currently suing them for all of the damages.

Only good part of their whole company was the salesman Jim at their Heartland location.
