When I had a leak coming down the chimney I went outside and looked at the exterior chimney above the roof line. It was in an advanced state of disrepair (who looks up?). After searching for companies that repair chimneys and getting quotes from three, I settled on Andrew's Restoration.
He gave me a fair quote and was honest with me in saying the chimney needed a rebuild. The rebuild was fantastic and looks amazing (I'm looking up these days).
I also asked him to look at some of the pointing between the bricks on the north side of my building which had deteriorated over the years.
Again his pricing was fair and I didn't even bother to get another quote.

We had the neighbours cats walk up and down our freshly poured concrete sidewalk. We were told it couldn't be fixed but sought Mr. Kiwala's opinion as he had come highly recommended by a business associate. Andrew was honest and forthright in his opinion that the condition could be improved at the least. His employee did an exemplary job, with a very discerning eye to the details. The job wouldn't seem difficult to the untrained eye, as mine was, but it was very soon evident how much work was involved. The restoration was absolutely perfect, the price was certainly commensurate with the level of work required, all in all a thoroughly satisfying experience. I would not hesitate to recommend Andrew's restoration to any homeowner requiring top notch, quality work.

We had two other companies attempt to re-point and match the colour of the grout. Andrews Team came in and matched it perfectly, when you look at our house you cannot even tell where the work was done. Don’t waste your time with a lot of these other companies. As far as I’m concerned, Andrews is the best. A good price for an amazing job, what more do you need.

We had stress cracks on the corner of our garage that were getting worse with the freeze thaw cycle of our seasons. Bricks at the base of both corners had deteriorated from weather and salt usage for ice.

Andrew came and reviewed the problem areas and made some recommendations regarding the work we wanted done. A written quote was forwarded the very next day and was very reasonable for the work to be performed. Within two weeks the work was scheduled through Robin in the office (one of the nicest people you'll ever talk to). I sincerely appreciated her very cheerful disposition on the phone and the manner with which I was kept informed with quotes and scheduling. Such a refreshing change in today' environment.

A crew arrived on the designated day and did an outstanding job showing respect and consideration for the property with virtually no evidence that they were ever there apart from the repairs being completed in a very professional manner ( and believe me I am very particular!)

I have absolutely no hesitation in highly recommending Andrew's Restoration to anyone looking for masonry/brick repair. I will certainly look to them for any future needs that I may have.

We had several areas on the exterior of the house that needed repair. Andrew’s team provided a quote for the work, we scheduled when the work would get done, the team showed up on schedule and completed the work.

We first learned about Andrews Restoration when our contractor hired him to do the masonry for a major addition to our vintage home back in 2004. Matching the brickwork to a building that was more than 100 years old isn't easy, but Andrew did such a perfect job that it was Impossible to tell where the original brick ended and the new began. Fifteen years later, we called Andrews Restoration again to do some repair work to the front of our house before we put it up for sale. The weather was terrible, but Andrew sent out an expert mason and got the job done. Again, it was perfect. My wife and I do not hesitate to give this company our highest recommendation

We hired Andrew’s Restoration in October of 2017 to grind the existing mortar and replace it with new mortar (grind and repoint) at our front entry stairs. In addition, we hired them to grind and parge the wall on the along the side of the stairs. This work was assessed in person and scoped by an employee of the company who then completed the actual work. At the time of the assessment, he said that he could do the job and we would be very happy with the outcome. Employees of Andrew’s Restoration came at the end of November of 2017 to complete the work. Initially, the work completed looked great. However, soon after the work was completed, we noticed deterioration in the work.

With respect to the parged wall, we noticed some cracks by February 2018. We had the cracks in the parged wall reviewed by an independent competent mason who agreed with us that these were cracks and would only worsen over time which they have. We also noticed the mortar beginning to crack in areas. The employee who completed the work had said, at the time of completion, that this mortar should be good for four years.

It is now March 2019 and the mortar has cracked everywhere – at the entry landing and the steps. Large sections of mortar have crumbled out and some of the stones are now loose. This poses a hazard to anyone using the stairs. It has only been 15 months since the work was completed. The front entry looks considerably worse now than before they began the work. The original work was completed 10 years ago.

We approached Andrew’s Restoration in the spring of 2018 to discuss the issues with the work completed. The owner gave many reasons why the work had deteriorated and many reasons why any remedial work would not be worthwhile. We paid for their services promptly at completion of work. We waited patiently last spring and summer for them to do the reparations. Nothing was done and we will now have the work redone by another company.

Overall, our impression of Andrew’s restoration: nice employees who can give a convincing sales pitch, but deliver very poor quality work. We do not recommend them.

We needed to have a chimney repaired that was in dire need of work. Our experience with Andrew's Restoration was 100% professional. They came an quoted in a reasonable time. They arrived to do the work when they said they would. If there was any delay, we were forewarned so there was no surprise. The work was done satifactorily and the clean up was spotless.

Andrew took the time to explain what work, materials and timeframe would be needed to repair the chimney, the approximately 200 decaying, water damaged bricks on the front of the house and the cracking cement. After discussing options we were provided a detailed quote and a start date. Work began on schedule. The skilled, professional and experienced crew worked quickly, always cleaning up at the end of the day. The quality of the work was outstanding, we are very happy with the finished product and the high level of workmanship. Communication between the crew, the office and ourselves exceeded our expectations with constant project updates and regular, on site, inspections from the owner. I'm confident we could not have made better choice in choosing Andrew's Restoration. Ours was a big challenging job. Would we use them again? 100% YES
