Air Heating Plus, Ltd.

Last year our furnace stopped working properly out of nowhere. The analysis showed that the spark for the flame had a problem; thus, our winter nights were spent in cold and was not pleasant at all. These guys recommended a new system that was bound to have no problems under any circumstances. Guess what! They were right and I love the new system!

During the heat wave in the summer of 2012 my a/c wasn't working so I checked out HomeStars for a Heating & A/C company. I came across Air Heating Plus and all their #10 ratings. I read Renato is great, Renato is wonderful, Renato is amazing. Renato, Renato, Renato. Who is this guy and why is he so great? Well... I decided to put him to the test.
At 3:00 pm on Friday, 30 degrees outside, of the long weekend I called this so called Renato. At 4:30 he is in my attic checking out my a/c air handler.
At 4:45 Renato is delivering the bad news. I need a new six thousand dollar a/c unit. As the blood is rushing from my face, Renato recommends I call another couple of companies for evaluation and quotes.
On Saturday morning he called me to see if I was still alive after the sticker shock and recommended a second alternative and again suggested calling other companies for clarification and/or peace of mind.
So to make a long story short, I hired him and have to score him a ten or maybe a 9.9 because there is always room for improvement...maybe?
Renato and his workmen were fast, efficient, clean, courteous and knowledgeable. There were numerous follow-up calls after the job was completed. Was I satisfied, did I have any questions, was there anything unsatisfactory that he could resolve. Subsequently he has kept in touch through e-mails and/or phone calls just a friendly Hi, how are you. I am his valued customer and in turn he is my valued a/c furnace technician. I called Renato this winter with a furnace problem which he quickly solved. So I am now warm and toasty.
I just wanted to say thanks to Renato. It's been a long time since I have encountered a serviceman who really cares about his customers and is rightfully proud of the quality work that he does.

Renato provided very convenient service. He came on a Sunday morning and later installed on a Saturday because these days were best for me. (Most other companies only provide M-F for installation.) He arranged for a proper heat loss engineer to come on a Sat. also. The heat loss test showed an 80.000 btu furnace was needed (as Renato had suggested) Two other companies had said 60,000 btu's would be enough. I was so glad to get the more powerful furnace. He was the only person to suggest new wiring from the thermostat to the furnace, as the wiring was 40 to 60 years old. And this was done by an electrician that he arranged. Renato suggested a duct cleaning company that was good and reasonable, and they were. He was careful not to take any ceiling tiles down when running an electrical wire from the panel to the furnace. He also called and waited for Enbridge to come for immediate hookup on that same day even though it was 8pm by the time it was done. He is willing to apply for the O.P.A. rebate for me. (Some small negatives-he said he woud put a grill on the white exhaust pipe to stop small animals and didn't. One other firm suggested this but 2 others and Renato said its not needed. One of his crew broke one one of the two light switches for the basement when pressing down too hard. Renato is coming back in the spring to install the a/c and he said he would fix it then. I believe him and I'm ok with that as I can use the other switch beside it.) So all this work was done for approx $ 800.00 less than the cheapest company (and only a 60,000 btu furnace , no new wiring and no heat loss test) and approx $2,000.00 less than the most expensive quote, also without the 3 extras. (In case I can't enter it I would give a 9.8 out of 10 rating.) I would wholeheartedly recommend Renato. He really gives great service!. And his prices are top notch. Thank you so much Renato!.

This is the second time that we have used Renato’s services. Like the first time he was very prompt in responding to my call. After inquiring about our situation Renato offered several options. We decided that we want to remove the old AC coil. Knowing that we would like it done soon Renato’s scheduled a service call within couple of days. The work was done very well. We are planning to install a new AC in the summer and we would definitely contact Renato again.

Renato was extremely helpful in helping me find a solution to a very tedious problem involving my tenants. He was informative and knowledgable and we were able to come up with a solution that worked for all involved. I would call him again in second!

Our furnace stopped working during the first cold snap of the Fall. We didn't know where to turn and found Renato's name on the Homestars site. Renato and his colleague did an absolutely fantastic job! They came to our house within hours of our having called him and were really wonderful. He even called us from the road to get more information on our problem so he could ensure that he would have the right parts to install when he arrived. He explained that he wanted to fix our problem on the first visit, not assess the situation and return another day.

When he arrived he showed a great deal of concern about our problem and worked extremely quickly and efficiently. After they'd fixed the furnace he took the time to explain everything that had been done and gave us advice on upgrading to a high efficiency furnace in the future. I would absolutely recommend Renato and Air Heating Plus to anyone who has a problem with their furnace. These guys are the real deal.

This is Renato's second visit (first one was for estimate and to make sure that everything would fit). Both times, he was very punctual.

Renato and his assistant came in today to install a specialized media filter and humidifier for us.
They were both very professional, very knowledgeable and put a lot of care and seemed very meticulous about their work.

Renato is very honest, and when you speak to him, you can tell he really cares and takes pride about his work.

Very happy with the service I got today, and would not hesitate to recommend AirHeating Plus to anyone.

I think that if all tradesmen would put in the effort, knowledge and care that Renato and his men do into their work, nothing would ever break in homes!

After deliberating some time on replacing my old water heater with a new tankless water heater, I finally decided to take the step. My home is an older smaller 1952 bungalow, with a basement unit built in. The benefits not only include an environmentally friendly home, and energy savings, but as it turns out, the elimination of carbon monoxide risk from the home since now both my furnace and water heater are externally vented. In addition, there is no need for a furnace room, so space is freed up. After agreeing on the contract, I met with Renato briefly on the morning of the installation. When I arrived home, I had my new water heater installed, the old water heater and all waste removed from my property, and the space cleaned up very well. Thank you Renato for a great job!

I called Renato after reading several excellent reviews on HomeStars and I wasn't disappointed. He arrived on time and installed my new unit as scheduled. Renato attended at the job himself with two employees. They all did an excellent job. Renato was very friendly and honest. I would definitely recommend him to others. Great job!
