This company presented very professionally over the internet. This move included a number of very expensive pieces of art and glass art. When i questioned the method used for moving these products the supervisor for the moving consultant suggested that all items should be crated. No insurance was offered .In discussions with local galleries both felt that bubble wrap combined with individual boxing would be sufficient for this short distance ( 2 block ) move. I requested this and Tender Touch agreed to use bubble wrap and made a clear note on the bill of lading that the packing and shipping crews should use caution and use bubble wrap as requested by the customer. Sometime during the packing the packers from tender Touch ran out of bubble wrap but the crews continued to pack using bunched up paper . It wasn't until they we started with the pictures that they disclosed that they were out of bubble wrap.On moving day the lead shipper was in a rush to have me sign the form to get the move started and advised me that I had up to $15000 of insurance so my delicate pieces would be covered. leaving aside the fact that they missed a number of items in the showers and cupboards the move was finished at 3X the quoted price. I had expected that the move would cost more due to the many small items and careful packing necessary in this small 2 br condo. Nonetheless it was expected to be higher than the estimate using Tender Touch's online formula which is now suspect to me. During the unpacking in our new residence one of the packers called me over to look at 2 Susan Rankin vases recently acquired for $2000 ea that were broken in a variety of places. The packers apologized and showed me how they were not wrapped in bubble wrap as I had requested and secondly that the paper was far to tight and lastly that the two vases were packed in one box rather than individually as the others had been . I requested that they take the vases and establish a claim for these items with their insurer. I waited until after lunch the following day before I was advised by email from one of the owners Maria Botelho ( after calling them ) that I had neglected to buy the correct insurance and the vases were not covered. Maria told me that it was my fault for not crating the objects the $4000 vases.. I later discovered a damaged corner to a palazetti laquered chest of drawers and a small Ipod nano was missing . After a lot of pressure ,Maria made a variety of offers to deal with this but it was a very small amount in relation to the replacement cost This company did not do what they said they would do , did not follow my directions for packing and in typical fashion took longer, broke things , and hid from any responsibility for the broken vases. This could have been solved with the right materials and a little effort by Tender Touch to do what they were asked to do. I have decided to seek relief from the courts to recover the monies paid to replace to the Rankin vases. I will also be taking this matter to consumer affairs to insure people get clear and accurate info on moving day and to force movers to be responsible for poor work .

Your estimate was docuented on email its unfortunate I can't post here. Crating was offered for high value items as well as additonal coverage both of which were declined.
Our offer of payout was more then the coverage chosen.
It's very important, the proper servcie, and coverage is chosen
We have been in contact with you to come up with an amicable solution
