Sure Loc Interlocking - Out of Business

After doing some research for my project and getting a few quotes I decided to go with Sure Loc. Price was competitive and their sales person Doug was knowledgable and not too pushy. After Doug visited twice to discuss the project I signed up with them on 08 June. And finally after waiting my job was done on 08 July. They combined it with another job on my steet.
The crew came at about 7.30AM and started the demolition/excavation which went smoothly. I got some good suggestions from their crew member Raul when he was marking the project site. And under the guidance of the supervisor Shawn it went about smoothly like a factory assembly line. I was quite impressed as I could not stay for the full duration as had to go to work. But Shawn managed it well.
It looks great but there are some minor finishing touches still left ie; filling the trench with soil along both sides of the drive way/removing some derbis from my lawn/removing unused stones.
As they did two projects on my street simultaneously Shawn promised they will come back on monday and finish the job. I understand as it is a lot of hard work.
So when its all done I will write my final review with photos. I wish if it could all be finished the same day then it would have been home run. Till then ..........

After getting 5 quotes and reading lots of reviews, both good and bad I did end up going with Surelock Interlocking. I was a little nervous about doing it but decided to risk it. The price difference was just too much.

My job was delayed three times. The first was because of the amount of rain we've had (originally supposed to be done in first week of June) and the ground was a squishy sponge. I totally understood this one and forgave. It was rescheduled for a couple of weeks later. It was then delayed from a monday to a wednesday and then wednesday to friday. I wasn't that happy about that and let them know it on the phone.

The Friday morning of the job they showed up at 9am and started excavating. Different crews worked throughout the day untill they finished around 7pm.

The job they did, the speed which they worked, and the friendliness of the workers was fantastic. They cleaned up everything within a reasonable amount of time and did not demand payment up front. Everything went as agreed and we couldn't be happier.

I will recommend this companies work to anyone. My experience (aside from the two late delays) was very good.

It was a pleasant experience overall, from start to finish. The sales representative was Paul. The quote he provided was reasonable vs. other quotes we got - that's why we decided to go with Sure-Loc. He was very professional, on-time in his appointments, provided good suggestions on the design, returned my calls and replied to my texts in a timely manner. On the day of the actual work, Alex the Supervisor and his crew were very efficient and courteous. They worked continuosly, completed the work on time and cleaned the work area after. An indication that the work looks great is that people walking or driving by would stop and look....I was even asked how much I paid for it because she said it looks really nice

JUST STARTING......Had rep come to house for estimate. Danny Cabral was knowledgeable and informative. He measured and explained the proceedure and a written estimate. I decided to go ahead and was asked for 10% down and the rest on completion. Was told they would do the job in 5 weeks as they are very busy......So far, so good. Immediately after posting this review I was contacted by Shawn the sales rep. He is working to resolve the issue. I had tried to contact them before using their main line, so a word of advice is to keep the sales rep cell number. I will update this review below based on what happens.

I will start with a couple of good things. First off the price was excellent and the sales person (Shawn) showed up early gave the quote on site (no waiting around like a lot of people). The way the job is done with different crews of people is very efficient, it really is an assembly line.

Now for the bad stuff:
1-were a day late showing up, for some people this may not be a problem but I had taken the day off so I could be present when the job was done.
2-used the wrong colour stone. They were tying into an existing patio and used the wrong colour stone.
3-despite having dug up and marking water and gas lines ahead of time they put a 9 inch spike through one of my pool lines. I had to drain a foot of water out of the pool and spend several hours fixing that.
4-instead of removing the dirt they dug up they threw it all against the trunks of my cedars. This will kill the trees.

So while the price is great I really cannot recommend going with them. Spend a little more money and go with someone else.

I had a 20x20 patio installed 1 year ago it looks great. A week ago i just finalized a contract to do the driveway this spring ,Very happy with this companies service.

I decided last summer to have my drvieway, front step and front yard professionally finished and landscaped. I requested quotes from several well known companies and decided on Sure Loc afer speaking with some of their previous clients and viewing past jobs. Their pricing was extremely competitive and from our first meeting it was very clear that these guys knew what they were doing. The design they created was exactly what we were looking for utilizing natural armour stone, raised wall flower beds and a unique stone for the driveway and front entry. That was just the begining...once the work started, I was even more impressed. My sales rep insisted that they would be in and out in one day; which after watching other jobs in my new neighbourhood take upwards of 2 weeks I assumed was wishful thinking. However when the combination of equipment and 30 workers showed up I quickly realized I would be best to stand back and let them go to work. The entire job was completed start to finish in 6 hours. This was not because of cutting corners but rather a system utilizing different crews of trades which was extremely organized and efficient (they used 2 dump trucks, two bobcats, multiple vans-it was organized chaos). I was still apprehensive once the work was done because it was completed so quickly so I waited to post my opinions until after my driveway had been through a tough winter...it has and i am happy to report it looks great!! Thanks to Sure Loc and all of their employees, especially my sales rep Shawn. I will be having them back this spring to complete the backyard!!
