Pro Stone

Decided to call Pro Stone after reading some reviews and turns out I made the right decision. My new countertop in the kitchen is exactly what I wanted and I got a better deal than I expected for it so I couldn't be happier. My little kitchen looks refreshed and much brighter now.

Ours was a relatively small kitchen job and yet quite complex. Pro Stone helped with picking a sink after taking Laser measurements for the project. They showed us a number of sinks that would fit into the corner of kitchen to give us more counter space.

After reading reviews and meeting with Bal at Prostone we decided to go with them to install our kitchen countertop and breakfast bar. We had contractors in our house doing other work and wanted the countertops to be installed while they were there so that the contractors could do the necessary plumbing etc after the countertops were installed. This occurred in late November 2011. We were going away for 1 week and so we wanted the measuing and templating done before we left so that they could then get the countertops cut and ready to install when we returned. None of this happened. Not only was our experience to this point not like any of the other reviews the whole company seemed to be completely disorganized. They couldn't commit to scheduling the templater had to remeasure. In fact up until Xmas they couldn't find granite the right length to complete the job without adding unnecessary seams in our countertop. Which incidentally they were prepared to do until we refused to accept it. Bal was the assigned sales person and he was too busy getting new business to attend to his new customer! Finally after a month an acceptable piece of granite was found but the price went up by over $1000. We agreed to the higher price just to get the job done. Unfortunately after closer inspection of the granite type we decided we didn't like it and decided to change the kind of granite we were using. The granite we went with in the end was Uba Tuba which is $9 less per square foot according to ProStone's pricing than the Black Pearl we had originally selected. However when we made the change to the lower priced granite the quote remained exactly the same as the inflated price they were going to charge us for Black Pear!. I refused to pay the higher price as I had been told many many times by ProStone that Uba Tuba costs less than Black Pearl. We had wanted to continue to work with ProStone but called another supplier who immediately provided a price that was $1500 less and completely in line with what we understood ProStone's original costs to be. From the start I felt like this was bait and switch in terms of pricing. They quote a low price to get you in the door but then can't find granite at that price unless you want to have extra seams in your countertop. We ended up having to pay the price for the template and a restocking fee to ProStone to walk away from the job and still saved money going with someone else! Beware of ProSTone. I am very skeptical of their business practices.

The people at Pro Stone were professional,friendly, reliable, punctual and very knowledgeable. The installation people were respectful of our home and did an amazing job. My kitchen is beautiful and I would recommend them to all my family and friends. Thanks to Bal for helping us choose our granite and to Hani who coordinated the installation.

We picked out a really nice granite slab in the warehouse and within a week someone came to the house to do a laser template. A week or so later it was installed. All in all a 2-3 week process. Great price, great customer service. Reliable and affordable.

ProStone was a absolute pleasure to work with. The prices were reasonable but the quality was outstanding! The installation people were punctual, efficient and professional at all times. We are so glad to have chosen the ProStone company when doing our home renos. We would highly recommend them to anyone who wants expert service at a reasonable price.

Had granite and marble put into our kitchen and bathroom. Liked being able to go into the warehouse to see the slabs. Installation was flawless. Clean, quick and the workers were very polite. Customer service issues with miscommunication between employees regarding choices, measurements and options though. We love the end product though, which is the most important thing. Would go back.

Great selection. The people just do a good job. I am a bit demanding and they exceeded my expectations. The installation team was incredible: clean, careful, polite and highly competent. I would definitely go there again.

Prostone had an amazing selection of granite. Most importantly they were the only ones to affordably carry the rare Wasabi Green Italian granite that I ultimately chose.
Great service, very patient with my questions. The owner was fantastic also. No problem when I changed my renovation design after the original measurements had been taken. DId their best to meet my deadline after the change in measurement during the busy season.
I'd highly recommend them for gorgous granite in a kitchen or bath.
Everyone who sees the unusual green granite with wonderful markings is impressed.

After shopping around for a dark granite for my new kitchen countertop my wife and I decided to go with Pro Stone as they have the best 3-inch stone selection in town and their stone is of the best quality and characterisics (color shade, vien etc) for granite that we love. The salesperson provided valuable opinions from stone selection to installation, and the installation coordinator is courteous and pleasant to work with. There is just are few things that need to be follow up on but so far the after-sale service has been good. I'll recommend my friends to Pro Stone.

I will keep you all updated on how the remaining issues are followed up.

There are issues showing up with the seam. Have been trying to get it serviced by ProStone. Will write a updated report on my experience. Stay tuned!!
