We have used Pambis Appliance over the years to extend the life of an aging washer and dryer... then when it came time to stop fixing and purchase a new set Pete was extremely helpful and insightful.

Pete was friendly, efficient, informative and I felt complete confidence in his integrity and knowledge. He laid out clear options from repair through to replacement. Fair price. Highly recommended. Only issue - he was busy (not surprised) and this made it hard for him to assess ETA.

I contacted Pambis Appliance Service yesterday morning, and my washer is now fixed. It's 24 hours later. I couldn't be more happy. Peter Pambis' original quote over the phone (based on my fairly vague description of the problem) turned out to be accurate, so there were no financial surprises. He called ahead en route to me, arrived on time, immediately ducked into my basement only to emerge 15 minutes later having fixed my washer. He fully explained what he'd done, and charged me very reasonable rates. How could anyone improve upon that? Perfect service! Thanks, Peter!

Edit: almost a year later my washing machine broke down again (different defect -- unrelated to last year's repair) so I called P.A.S. again. Everything in my original review still stands. Very happy -- thanks again!

Anytime I have a problem with an appliance I never hesitate to call Peter at Pambis. Recently I called Peter out to look at a fridge that wasn't staying cool and he was quick to track down the problem. As usual he showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up after he completed the job. Even when he's busy, which is usually always, Peter always gets there when he says he will. I couldn't recommend him more.

I was recommended Pete by a friend. I sent an e-mail request to Pete and he responded on the same day, I have explained to him what was going on with my Whirlpool fridge and he immediately said that most likely I need to change the Thermostat, so he ordered one for my fridge and contacted me back in 2 days when the part was in hands. He came on the same day; he showed up on time, had the new thermostat on hand and was finished with the repair in just under 30 minutes.

He was friendly, polite, professional, and pleasant to deal with - I highly recommend.

I called two different repair services that did not service the downtown core. I was given Peter's name by one of those companies. Peter immediately returned my call and when he found out we were in a bit of a rush for the repair, went out of his way to get the part and fixed it the next day. Communication was great and the repair was done. So far so good and no complaints! Thanks Peter.

The service technician was on time, polite and knew what he was doing. He repaired the stove very quickly without having to book a return visit. He asked a lot of questions before coming to the house so he could narrow things down and bring the parts that were most likely needed.

Our dishwasher of unknown age was not rinsing properly. Peter arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and a couple of other issues and gave us a quote to decide whether or not to go ahead with repairs. We opted for repairs and the parts were ordered, arrived in a timely way and the repair work was done within a week. He gave me a chance to wash out the filter while he was doing the repairs so I really appreciated this! It is easy to communicate with them via email or phone. I also asked for a quote of a cutlery basket which he quickly obtained. Personable, put a blanket on the tile floor to protect it, cleaned up after.
The Jennair stovetop right side unit was not working but after some initial testing, he identfied only one burner was not working and so this was cheaper repair than expected. He was happy to test each burner on his voltage tester to ensure each was working properly.

Had issues with my dryer, called Pambis and the next day they sent out a technician. Setting up and scheduling the appointment was easy. Service was excellent, the technician had all the required parts and my dryer is back working better than before.
