Worked with Sebastian and Scott on my flooring install project. Scott was quite helpful in answering some of the initial questions and providing quotes for various permutations of my project and Sebastian was the person I dealt with who did the work.
Overall, I was very satisfied with my total experience and final result. Floors look beautiful and installation was neat, relatively tidy and well executed. I would give a 10 for workmanship (Sebastian and his crew) and an 8 for overall project management, to end up with my 9 rating.
I would recommend them to friends and family and use them again, but I couldn't give them a perfect score for the following reasons as each are individually small and nitpicky, but additively I had to dock a point for my overall experience.
1) Project Management wasn't excellent - it was just good. We gave Sebastian and Scott our project timeline in early December and that we wanted the floors sourced and installed within a 3 week window and were told that could be easily accomplished. Sebastian ran into problems sourcing the matching wood (a Mirage hardwood) to an existing hallway, but due to the holiday break (apparently, most major wood suppliers shutdown for 2 weeks during the holidays) we could not purchase the wood in a timely fashion to meet our project deadline. Unfortunate, but not a deal breaker, as Sebastian and myself worked on an alternative plan, that required tearing up the existing hallway of hardwood and replacing it with a new different hardwood. Once completed, I felt it looks better than the original plan as there's no breaks in the wood at the door frames between rooms, but there was a few days of unneeded stress there.
2) Sebastian and his crew were super tidy in the main areas (wiping and tidying after work), but forgot to clean out 2 closets where there were hardwood nails and a sizeable amount of sawdust on the upper shelf. Not a big deal in my mind, just required some wiping and vaccuming on our part.
3) Out of the 100's of boards on the perimeter of the rooms, there's 3 or 4 boards if you look vertically down from the wall (i.e. looking down, parallel to the wall), are about 1-2mm short (i.e. there's a tiny tiny gap visible between floor and baseboard). Barely noticeable, and TRUELY nitpicky, but I noticed (and for any sane person, it's so small, it's DEFINITELY not worth re-doing). You could also blame it on the fact that our house is an older Toronto home - so the walls aren't perfectly square.
Okay, enough of me being nitpicky, but wanted to give a fair and objective evaluation. Don't get me wrong, I love, and I stress, LOVE the final work product - I want to re-iterate that I think Sebastian and crew did a great job! They even gave us some tips on how to blend and caulk the baseboards properly, and threw in some free DAP! But if you want perfection, and if I were to do this again, I would say you would need to have a more hands on-approach in the planning process to ensure perfection (i.e. sourcing materials yourself). Sebastian and his crew works hard, fast, and were very efficient and did the job itself very very well! So don't let my nitpickyness deter you from giving them a call!

Thank you Danny for your detailed and honest feedback. We completely understand your point of view and are always striving to get better. Since we are a service company sourcing pre-finished wood material that matches existing is not something we normally offer or guarantee because we are not a showroom retailer. Sebastian offered as an additional courtesy but we'll definitely take your suggestions into future consideration as the business is always evolving.
It was a pleasure for both Sebastian, myself and his crew to work with you. We appreciate the feedback and advise for all our new prospective clients to read. Please keep us in mind for any future projects and let your friends and family know if they are looking to update there hardwood floors and/or stairs. Thanks again. Regards,
Scott
