We hired Nanette to consult on our basement renovation. We wanted to add a new bathroom and bedroom and finish the rest of the basement. Nanette suggested different layouts for the basement, colour schemes, lighting solutions, and took us to some amazing vendors to source materials. She also recommended a contractor, Peter Lum. I am so glad we went with Peter, he and his crew are extremely experienced, knowledgable, talented and trustworthy. The added benefit of going with Peter is that he and Nanette do all the coordinating behind the scenes, a you don't have to worry about every little detail. I had a bathroom that I did not want to gut - it just needed a facelift and since calling Nanette she has been so resourcefull on my limited budget. From her advice on countertops, fixtures, wall coverings and art display my bathroom looks like that which you would find in a magazine. We engaged Nanette to help us select tiles for our ensuite bath. She immediately understood our tastes and quickly picked out a number of suitable tile combinations. It didn't take long to settle on the right tiles and we are very pleased with the final results.

This was our third time using Nanette's services. We hired her to get some advice on renovating our kitchen and our attic. She has great vision and ideas, and incorporates your goals and ideas into her proposals, rather than slavishly sticking to her own pre-conceived notions of what she would do with the space. She was also great at coming up with fun ideas for our son's room and play space. We were also really impressed with her range - she always found a way to suggest an idea that fit our budget. Nanette has an extensive network of contractors, but we never felt any pressure to hire them. My husband did a complete reno on our house and we're now approaching the final stage. We wanted a professional's opinion on paint colors & finishes. Nanette was truly exceptional. I booked a 2 hour consultation with her & she took her time with me going through every room in our the house. She taught me about color, lighting and also has a list of great referrals. I have to admit that I was a bit hesitant with some of the paint colors she suggested but we are going to take her recommendations on them all! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. I'll be sure to call her again when we're ready to furnish!

My wife and I returned to Toronto having lived overseas for ten years and with minimal furniture and no appliances. We needed to take up residence in our very tired looking but spacious condo and were determined not to move in until the makeover was done. We also knew we needed an experienced eye to help us with some decorating ideas. This is to say nothing of timing of various phases of the work we anticipated and some suggestions about suppliers whose products would fit into our budget.

We remained the project directors throughout but it was Nanette Snel who opened our eyes and our minds to possibilities we had only imagined in the sketchiest terms. She was most directly involved in the colour selection for the walls, with the design and installation of the kitchen cupboards and granite counter tops and with the major overhaul of the guest bathroom. We are really satisfied with the results. And so it seems, are our family and friends.
