Met Justin of High Life at the home show and was educated on the spectrum of units they sold. I shopped around and felt Justin's approach was the most informative (although the other HVAC companies were just as informative, they seemed to keep up selling us on their more expensive units without even asking what our needs were).
I booked a free consult/house inspection with Justin and found him to be helpful answering some of my questions. Biggest question I asked was why other companies told me to get a 3 ton system for my 2300 sq.ft. 3 floor townhouse while he suggested to get a 2 ton. He explained in detail why a 2 ton system (which is cheaper) would work better for my specific house, and to be honest, I was concerned about the power output of a smaller unit. I found their quotation competitive and decided to go ahead with their services.
The installers were on-time and done in a timely manner. They left no clean-up mess and went through the install with me. Justin even showed up after the install was done to make sure everything went well.
After using the A/C for the past 2 months, my concern about the 2 ton unit over the 3 ton has been erased. The cold air distributes relatively evenly on the first 2 floors (1 degree colder on the 1st floor vs 2nd), and fairly on the 3rd (2.5 degree difference from 1st floor to 3rd floor) floor - something Justin mentioned will occur in a 3 floor house. I'm pretty satisfied with the performance of the unit, knowledge of Justin and the installers, and the overall experience.
Highly recommended.

- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Ask questions about the A/C unit for the house size and layout. I realized that bigger is not always better pending on the size and house layout combo.
