When renewing my home insurance I was told that due to the age of my house I had to have an inspection. When the inspector came he told me that I needed a new roof and my bricks required point and tuck. I couldn't believe it when 3 days later a letter arrived from my insurance company (the same carrier for the previous 20 years). It was a notice of cancelation! I was given 3 weeks to replace my roof and have the brick completely fixed. A friend of mine happens to be a roofer and he was able to fit me in in a pinch. So, I had a new roof but, I had no idea how I was going to get the point and tuck done on time. My friend recommended Cummins Restorations. He told me he knew the owners personally and that if anyone could help me in the limited amount of time and do it right - it was Cummins. I called the number he had given me and left a message explaining the work required, the timeline and the insurance sending the cancelation notice. I didn't realize I was calling a cell phone number but, almost immediately Brian Cummins himself called me back. He appologized for not answering the phone as he was up on scaffolding. I was in a bit of a panic as you can imagine. He told me not to worry that he would squeeze my house in (no matter what) before the deadline. He came the following day in between two different jobs to give me the quote and the following week he came to complete the job. He also rebuilt most of the chimney (which the insurance guy missed). This turned out to be a blessing because when the same inspector came back (astonished to see that the work had been completed on time) he told me that if I hadn't had the chimney done then he wouldn't have given us a pass. Cummins Restorations went out of their way to get this done as quickly as, possible, for a reasonable amount of money (the insurance guy figured it would be quite a bit more) and on top of all that they caught something that was potentially dangerous and would not have passed otherwise. Oh, and they left the grounds as neat as, a pin! A big "Thank You!" goes out to Brian and his team for all their help.

Sincerely,

Laura M
