Trane Ac Installation

We found our system stopped working we then called Cambridge and spoke with Kelly she arranged Mark for diagnose services at same day who explained everything that was going on with our system and confirmed it needs to be replace as the repairing of 15 years old mid eff unit was costing a lot so its better to go for new one so then called Tousif who came at our place after one hour and quoted us for new Trane system and we were actually looking for Trane but we were not getting quotes on it mostly we been quoted for lennox & goodman so we wanted to get it done ASAP so he then arranged equipment on time and
we were amazed that he even installed the same within a day. Installer is very professional and very knowledgeable where he pointed things out regarding keeping up with my units.

I will pass the word out to my neighbors about recommending for everything that has to do with HVAC Great Customer Service and technician and sales advisor even next day we received call from following up on installations and equipment status which we highly appreciated he also recommended us to get annual cleaning every year to keep system life longer. Thanks a lot for all hard work and honesty.

WORST QUALITY SERVICE

VERY FRUSTRATING, DISAPPOINTING, AND POOR QUALITY SERVICE !! Cambridge heating and cooling worked for Homedepot for installing my new furnace. They sent Azam Safdary to do the job. When he arrived my house for installation, he did not know that I had an order to install a duct to my basement washroom. That means before coming to my house, he did not check my work order. He came to my house unprepared. He did not bring extended cord to make holes in the wall to bring the pipes out. He asked from me and I had supplied that. Then he asked for coaking from me to fill out the pipe holes. It was fun with me. How a technician comes to install a furnace without extended cord and coaking? Is it technician's responsibility to bring enough extended cord to install furnace or it's customer's responsibility to have it. While he was making holes in the wall to make pipes out, he was making holes at the outside ground level. I requested him to make the holes at least one feet above because in Canada we experience snowing/ice more than 7months during winter. There was huge space to make holes up. Making holes at the outside ground level will make it potential to water leaking during winter. He did not respect my request. He made the holes just at the outside ground level (pictures attached). After he left my house, I spoke with him over phone asking why did he make the holes at the ground level where there will snowing about 7months during winter. He told me , if he has to fix it now, I have to pay extra from my pocket. That means, he made the holes intentionally to make extra money and there was enough space to make holes up. But he put my house in danger for winter. These holes are not for one or two years. It's for life long. After finishing the job, they are about to leave my house. Then I checked the holes on the wall. I could see the sky and sunlight through one holes; then I requested them to fill that out; then they did. My question, was it customer's responsibility to check whether holes are filled properly or not?
Then I complained to Cambridge heating and cooling with pictures. All the time, the manager Bill favoured the technician Azam. Bill was not supportive to me although his technician came unprepared and provided worse service. I provided him pictures and audio of conversation where the technician Azam asked for extra money to fix the issue. But he did not help me positively. Bill sent my sales person Tousif (who sent the technician Azam to my house for the job) to inspect the issue. As Tousif sent Azam to do the job and he did the job in unprofessional manner, Tousif also supported Azam which is obvious because Tousif and Azam are the same. It was my mistake to allow Tousif who is my sales person to do the inspection. I allowed him in good faith.
They can't play with customers hard earning money about $5000. Cambridge can't sent an unprofessional and inefficient technician who does not check work order , who does not bring enough extended cord, who does not bring coaking to fill out the holes before coming to customer's house. They made Homedepot a victim providing a very very poor and worse service. And I also made my house vulnerable for water leaking year after year spending about $5000. Be careful about the Cambridge heating and cooling.

Sir, With due respect, our tech visit your place for the inspection and you did not want the work to be done (Even though all the installation is as per code). In view of this, we can't make you "Happy" if there is no problem, to begin with in the first place. Cheers.

Great Experience

The timing on my AC malfunction couldnt have been worse, woke up to really hot house this summer morning. Called Cambridge and requested for a tech support. It was late in the evening before the office contacted me to let me know the tech was on the way. The tech didnt arrive until 7:50pm in which case I felt bad knowing they work long days since they did not have an earlier schedule. Vargha was my technician and he was very polite and understanding. He worked quickly and efficiently practicing safety guidelines and also general respect for our home. He was able to diagnose the issue even though it wasn't fully resolved that night he still made sure we had cooling and were comfortable. He went the extra mile by calling the office and scheduling a sales expert to come out the next day to finish the job and install a new AC with attractive payment plan. Excellent work from Cambridge service highly recommend Cambridge heating and cooling and thank you Vargha for making it a great experience.

One leaky system

Ductless Air Conditioner installed June 2014 (With a 6 Year parts and 10 Year extended Compressor warranty) by Cambridge Heating and Cooling and Manufacture. Each spring the unit lost its charge and required recharging. First year, service tech told us this was normal and was charged $200. Next year and every year after the system had to be recharged. Service tech could not find the leak. Spring of 2021 was told that the compressor and mother board both required replacing. Extended warranty was not honored because Cambridge did not register the product. (This required both User name and Password, by the authorized dealer). Was told by Cambridge that the Manufacture (Mitsubishi) would not honor the warranty. Cambridge words ``small ray of hope regarding reimbursement...very slim chance....since the unit was not in warranty. Price quoted by Cambridge to replace both compressor and motherboard but was told by Cambridge that Compressor & Control board replacement which the technician may perform will in no way be warranted for any period of time. June 2022, second Diagnostic test / opinion obtained by a second authorized Mitsubishi dealer, when Cambridge failed to respond to requests. Many shortcomings noted in their report, including it is illegal and irresponsible to continue to top up an air conditioner each year with a known leak. For the most part this caused the compressor and motherboard to fail.

June 2022 replaced the unit with a different brand and dealer who has completed the registration. Folks, be warned when dealing with Cambridge Heating and Cooling!

Read the fine print

I purchased an AC unit and Furnace for my home from this company. The process of purchasing the unit and installation were great except one key piece of information that was very important. Kevin was my sales person and he did a great job outlining the benefits of the unit that he was selling to me. He did mention that the products that I purchased came with a 10 year warranty but he did not mention that I needed to purchase maintenance from Cambridge for the duration of the warranty to keep it valid (10 Years). The cost of the yearly maintenance is $110+tax which could increase or decrease at any time. Even though on my contract it mentioned “No hidden fees” in writing from the sales person, there is fine print that gave the company the right to charge me anything for yearly maintenance or void my warranty. This was only brought to my attention when I recently had an issue with my furnace leaking gas into my house in the middle of winter. The gas company came to check out the situation and determined that it was leaking from my furnace. When I called Cambridge, though this was an emergency, they said they couldn’t get a technician to my house until the next day. I had to choice but to wait or pay much more for another company to come and fix the issue with my furnace. The next morning I get a call from Bill (customer service rep.) he mentioned that the technician would not be able to come on that day because the father of the company owner passed away. Though this was a tough situation for anyone to deal with and I do not know the relationship within the company, I do not understand why a technician needed to take a bereavement day off when the father of the company owner passed away. This was unacceptable to me as my family and I would have to make alternate arrangements since my furnace would be off for 2 days in the middle of winter. Eventually, a technician came and replaced the leaking part of the furnace. I’m thankful it was fixed and still covered under the warranty. This was the second time that I had to call for a technician to fix something on the furnace but it was the first time that they mentioned that there is a yearly maintenance that I need to purchase to keep my warranty valid. (Strange nobody mentioned it the first time). I wish I had a choice to which company I can use to do yearly maintenance on my equipment and keep my warranty valid. Its like they offered me a price, then sneak in the fact that over the next 10 years I need to pay them more money to keep my warranty. Next time I'm going to be sure to read the fine print and ask questions about the gray areas.

Dear Sir, Thanks for the detailed review.
1) Furnace maintenance is a yearly contractual requirement and agreed upon by all of our customers because it is mentioned on the contract. The “No hidden fees" has nothing to do with the maintenance since maintenance is not a part of the invoice you have and you are only charged for the equipment you purchased.
2)The reason the tech was not able to attend to you on the same day unfortunately was due to our boss's father passing away they had to do arrangements for the funeral. Our technical team is short-staffed amidst covid/lockdowns etc but we did the best we could to provide timely services. (We will and are definitely working on this to improve our level of service).
Appreciate your valued feedback.
